This is Boro's 3rd game in 9 days, most likely a major factor in explaining their game plan. Flamini's headless chicken routine has improved...

welbeck is like defensive minded attacker where his best attributes is running back and helping out the defence with his pace and power.

in the same backwards way you would play david luiz for his technique, passing and ability to shoot from range and occasional nice dribble rather than do his f***ing job which is too defend.

Indeed. They remind me of Ibra/Cavani.

The problem is not with Giroud. Welbeck is so far removed from the intricacies of playing as a striker its unreal. Welbeck is a bad signing cos neither is he prolific enough as a lone striker nor is he effective playing alongside Giroud invading in to his space all the time.

Absolutely - certainly not Giroud's fault. Welbeck should be on the bench, playing when Giroud is unavailable.

Rosicky time?

Should sub now, games wrapped up and putting on Theo or Rosicky is not bringing our level down anyway.

Just watch Giroud and Welbeck making identical runs for that set piece. Atm we have two players playing i one position up front

One knows how to play as a striker and the other doesn't.

Middlesbrough came with two banks of five as their only strategy and once we scored they have no idea what to do with the ball.
