Desperation and tactical inaptitude.

Fact is the players aren't clinical enough.. Had Wilshere buried (or passed to Sanchez) that chance in the first half we wouldn't have this conversation.. facts is united is some lucky **** and they got away with it today. We'll win 99 of a 100 games against united if we play like this. Today we were unlucky.
I agree about the game, but it's more to do with:The 15 point gap between us and Chelsea, and that too, after only 12 games
The tactical stubborness (the persistence with the 4-1-4-1)
The failure to buy a center back and a CDM when anybody and everybody can see that that is where the problem lies
Playing Monreal at center back when he is incapable of heading the ball (see us vs Hull (Hernandez), Swansea (Bony) and Anderlecht (Mitrovic) just to name a few examples). Also, playing Ozil on the left wing instead of as a number 10.
Only 1 trophy in the past 9 and a bit years (community shield doesn't count). The FA cup triumph of last season nicely covered over what was a pretty average season despite spending a club record amount on Ozil. Building the Emirates and assembling a young talented team were both good excuses, which I was satisfied with, but we have been in the money for the past couple of years and that talented young team we had built has now matured.
Now, I personally was satisfied with Wenger until the start of the season but it has become more and more clear that he has just lost his touch. He needs to go at the end of the season. There simple are no excuses left for a club of our stature to be doing this poorly.

At least we were winning with a defence as tight ad a ducks arse, and that's water tight.
