Desperation and tactical inaptitude.

Fact is the players aren't clinical enough.. Had Wilshere buried (or passed to Sanchez) that chance in the first half we wouldn't have this conversation.. facts is united is some lucky **** and they got away with it today. We'll win 99 of a 100 games against united if we play like this. Today we were unlucky.

I agree about the game, but it's more to do with:
The 15 point gap between us and Chelsea, and that too, after only 12 games
The tactical stubborness (the persistence with the 4-1-4-1)
The failure to buy a center back and a CDM when anybody and everybody can see that that is where the problem lies
Playing Monreal at center back when he is incapable of heading the ball (see us vs Hull (Hernandez), Swansea (Bony) and Anderlecht (Mitrovic) just to name a few examples). Also, playing Ozil on the left wing instead of as a number 10.
Only 1 trophy in the past 9 and a bit years (community shield doesn't count). The FA cup triumph of last season nicely covered over what was a pretty average season despite spending a club record amount on Ozil. Building the Emirates and assembling a young talented team were both good excuses, which I was satisfied with, but we have been in the money for the past couple of years and that talented young team we had built has now matured.

Now, I personally was satisfied with Wenger until the start of the season but it has become more and more clear that he has just lost his touch. He needs to go at the end of the season. There simple are no excuses left for a club of our stature to be doing this poorly.

            ^^ This

Nothing unexpected happened today. We have simply taken another instalment of our annual double-helping of humiliation by ManU.

We will continue losing to them and generally sinking into mediocrity this season, because:

            1. No leader on the pitch, hence no fight in the team
            2. No DM - Flamini and arteta don't count
            3. Left back playing as central defender because we couldn't be bothered to sign a proper central defender in the summer
            4. Sanchez is played out of position
            5. Ozil is played out of position

So yes, it is not Arsene's fault that Wilshere can't finish a one-on-one, but all five points above are his fault.

Moreover, points 1 and 2 have been a problem for close to 6 seasons now. The most depressing thing is -there is no evidence that Arsene even recognises that these are problems...

So I'm afraid we should prepare for more of the same, plus Sanchez and Ozil joining City/Chelsea in the summer.

Make 15 mins = 35 mins + injury time and yep.

Also that's Uniteds first away win since April and our first loss at home in the EPL for 23/24 games. They always break our records.

Feel sorry for Monreal. Don't rate him at all and he's absolute dogshite at lb and definitely at CB and to think people actually thought he was better than BFG for a few games. Those people need to look at themselves in the mirror and punch yourselves in the balls or tits if you're female or both if you're a man beast.

But can't blame Monreal for today. Poor chap tried his hardest as Mert had to leave him behind and go upfront to do Welbecks job as he's so useless.

That we should have been out of sight if we took our chances.

Only problem, Man U took their chances when they finally came.

Fair enough, thought they'd rip into us defensively.

What would'nt I give to go back to the George Grahame day's of boring Arsenal. One nil wins, week in, week out.

At least we were winning with a defence as tight ad a ducks arse, and that's water tight.

With Grahame in charge we won the 1990/91 title by seven points losing just one game and losing only 18 points, despite a pitch brawl with Man U which cost Arsenal 2 points deduction.
