It was in a way that it gave Wenger an excuse to not find a proper DM for our team.

Whether we got Flamini or not has had 0 impact on that imo. Wenger is Wenger and he'll always do what he wants, neglecting the defensive side of the game. Flamini has at least provided us an option outside of Frimpong and Coquelin playing there.

Didn't watch the game but saw we were 3-0 up with 70 mins to go and assumed we sealed the three points.

Not too bothered about the effect on the group stage as Dortmund were likely getting first anyway, as they're playing superb in the CL. But giving up a 3-0 lead at home to Anderlecht is embarassing.

On to Swansea.

We are always desperate in the Jan window. Price is usually no object because instead of buying, Wenger is happy to bring in some pubbers on loan.

Far be it from me to defend wenger
His game management is poor and his willingness to learn from mistakes appears to be nil but I must defend us as a club I can't stress enough that this is not something that happens to arsenal as a club
I saw a shocking arsenal side in the mid 70,s but we never not won a game with a 3 goal lead
I have been going 44 years and this is the 1 st time this as happened at home
In all that time
The media are having a field day with the Newcastle and 1st English team to lose a 3 goal lead at home in champions league etc
I would like to know when it last happened to arsenal at home?
I know it happened to chelsea v man utd
Spurs( I know god forbid the comparison) have done it at least a couple of times to united and a 10 man city
I am as annoyed as anyone but blame the mentality that wenger has engendered rather than a club ethos
Right back to my point
It's the wiping the mouth learning and getting on with things that is my arsenal
Therefore
09/10
Maurinho,s inter milan drew 2-2 at home with dynamo Kiev milan had gone a year without a champions league win
08/09
Guardiolas barcelona drew 1-1 at home with pointless Basel they had won 11 champions league games in a row
Including 5-0 in switzerland a fortnight before
And lost 3-2 to at home to shakter Donetsk (though in the 2nd game they played a weakened team as they were thru)
06/07
Ancelotti,s milan lost 2-0 home to Lille who had come off the back of a 2-2 home draw with anderlecht
01/02
Hitsfield,s bayern drew 0-0 home to Helsingborg
Could'nt break down a side who came to park the bus
96/97
Hitzfields dortmund lost 2-1 home to athletico madrid despite taking the lead
This was not the athletico of today
They were playing in uefa cup the following year
94/95
Van Gaels ajax drew 1-1 with casino salzburg(me neither)
They had drawn 0-0 in austria as well
Wenger is our bar to winning the champions league
Not a draw or defeat against a low ranked team
As all these eventual winners of the trophy went on to prove that

In absolute control with no issues.

It was like watching some cheat physics on FIFA.

Doesn't mean much in the group standings but throwing a 3 goal lead is pathetic, hopefully this is an embarrassing wake up call we needed!

Like 6 - 0 against Chelsea or 5 - 0 Liverpool or League cup defeat vs Bradford or 8 - 2 vs Man Utd etc etc

Some of us woke up years ago mate!

God that is some wake up call
That was the last time we lost 5 -0 to liverpool
It was 5-1
Liverpool know only to well what a difference one goal makes
Thomas charging thru the midfield
I can't take the blame for that one mate
I was sitting on my mums lap while she watched juke box jury

Wenger ain't taking it
We are
He has the chance to change thing and chooses not to
I don't know who you think you are addressing when you come on with your ha ha has
You just sound like a stupid ****

We will survive....the club wont go under if wenger leaves. We aint winning a league or the CL with that team. So rather than another average season.....we need something to happen. The idea that people say nothing will happen is wrong. When United missed out on CL money, they didnt hesitate to get rid of noyes....kroenke will react only when he loses money

Where have i said the club will go under if wenger leaves?
I never believed it would when I thought he was the right man for the job
What makes you believe that I think that now that when I believe he should have been sacked 3 years ago?
Your narrative is clear and does'nt need repeating
Still that does'nt stop you from whining and moaning
We all know the board love a pound note and it no longer arriving in the form of champions league money could well force their hand in showing wenger the door
However the glee you show in arsenal losing games or suffering misfortune is tedium itself
We get the message

Still can't believe this happened
Follow me on twitter @JordanLovesey!

The only proven winner in red and white at this club? Arsene Wenger. Sack the board.
