Arsenal are struggling to hold on to starlet Khayon Edwards with a host of rival clubs ready to make a move for the talented teenager, reports the Mail.

The 18-year-old is one of the rising stars of the Gunners academy but has yet to sign a professional contract despite a number of attempts to tie him down to a long-term deal.

That has put a host of clubs on alert, including Premier League rivals Chelsea, Leeds, Southampton, Brighton and Newcastle, and Bundesliga quartet Hertha Berlin, RB Leipzig, Borussia Monchengladbach and Bayer Leverkusen.

Chelsea have made contact with Arsenal Under-18s' star striker Khayon Edwards over a transfer in the summer. 

Currently, the Blues are unable to sign players due to the sanctions on Roman Abramovich and a special government licence that allows them to continue to operate. 

However, with the Gunners still fighting to tie down their star youngster, the Blues are waiting to pounce upon a change of ownership soon.

The 18-year-old has scored 17 goals in 22 appearances for the Gunners academy but has yet to sign a professional deal, sparking a potential scramble for his services this summer.
