Just like with established professionals it depends on the talent and potential the player is showing.

For reference Eddie Nketiah was [reportedly] on £2k/week before signing a his second professional deal worthy of £15k/week in late 2017.

Hmmm

It's interesting. I also wonder what advice young players are given 're money

It's a small detail but important for a very human reason.... players of that age still usually listen to their mum!

If the club could build a rep for holding young players money in trust until they're older, or helping them save to buy a home, things like that could sway a parents opinion and indirectly a player's decision to sign with us

Most players, even young pros, never get rich and recognising that would show the club in a good light

so have yall watched this guy? how is he? imo there's nothing so special about them getting some child from barca cause they've been blocking thheir youth from establishing on the first team for years, and esp now with valverde. you see even alena not getting minutes beyond some irrelevant copa or wtv, how are you gonna feel as a youngster? they got a guy who was probs bound to leave anyway

López has been Included in our Europa League group stage squad.

It's not impossible that the young left-back will make an appearance in Tierney's absence.

I guess Arteta and company have seen something they like. Hopefully he doesn’t disappoint if we don’t end up signing a fullback

Pretty much.

Also, considering that we're no longer active in any domestic cups this season, it'd be a real case of throwing him in the deep end.

Would be good if he could step up and become the cover required for tierney. Would mean money available to spend on other positions too!

He's been released, mostly because defensive consistency continued to be a challenge for him.
