Whilst I'm not sure he has Eddie's poaching instincts, he's much better at creating chances for himself and is a vastly superior technician.

Will probably join first team training in summer. If he hasn’t already. Exciting talent.

He's eligible to play for Nigeria, USA and England.

Born in New York to Nigerian parents, but moved to the UK at age 2 and has lived there since.

Highly-rated academy striker Folarin Balogun set to leave Arsenal this summer

https://theathletic.com/1896994/2020/06 ... ed_article

Turned down a £5m bid for him from Brentford in the summer. Now set to leave after overlooked by Mikel Arteta.

Disappointing if true. Considered a bigger talent than Nketiah and many at the club surprised he hasn't be called up sooner.

Likely to be a sell on clause in any deal but won't change the fact Arsenal may be yet again losing a top youth talent.

Worth noting John-Jules also still at the club, although different styles really. Still feel the club needs to be taking more Chelsea style youth approach. Having lots of feeder clubs to loan players to, and where they are sold, do so with buy back clauses.

Have no idea if he's any good. Heard some good things about him. Dope name tbh.

Hope we include a buy-back clause. Unlikely as it may sound.

Why does he want to leave? He would surely get first team opportunities in the next couple of seasons.

25 goals in 19 starts for the U18s, last year, won the league with them as well:

Is the route to the first team too tough for him? Nketiah, Martinelli, Laca, Auba all ahead of him?

Not really. Laca and Auba will not be with us more than a season or two in a best case. I gather we sell one this summer. Martinelli is also a teen and has to first stay fit for long enough to lock down a starting spot. Nketiah is questionable.

Folarin Balogun: Arsenal demand £8m for Brentford target

Arsenal are demanding at least £8m for Brentford target Folarin Balogun.

The Gunners' price is considered high for a 19-year-old striker who has never played a first-team game and can leave for free next summer.

Balogun has refused to sign a new contract after failing to get assurances of a pathway into the first team, and is happy to see out his current deal until 2021.

The Bees, who are one game away from the Premier League, tried to sign him in January but could not agree a deal with Arsenal.

He is highly regarded at other clubs in the Premier League and has been tracked by the likes of Liverpool, as well as teams in Germany.

Balogun banged in 10 goals in 15 Premier League 2 appearances for Arsenal's U23s this season, and is a high priority among the Bees' targets along with Peterborough's Ivan Toney.

Don’t see it as a high price tbh, other teams would be asking for more if he’s such a prospect
