Let's Show solidarity for Hillsborough

Im not putting this in the sig request thread because I want as many people as possible to see it.

I think it would be a nice gesture if someone who has the knowhow could but together a signature commemorating the Hillsborough disaster, in time for the next anniversary which is on April 15th.

In particular, it would be good to show support for the "Justice For The 96" campaign, which still continues.

If the design could incorporate the Arsenal crest with the phrase "Justice For The 96" and "YNWA" I think that would be excellent.

It would be even better if we all then used the sig instead of our usual ones for a week around the anniversary. Any small gesture is important because it keeps the momentum of the campaign going and raises awareness.

Just an idea anyway, feedback welcome.

the police decided to open up a set of gates, intended as an exit, which did not have turnstiles (Gate C). This caused a rush of supporters through the gate into the stadium.

The result was that influx of thousands of fans through a narrow tunnel at the rear of the terrace and into the already overcrowded central two pens caused a huge crush at the front of the terrace, where people were being pressed up against the fencing by the weight of the crowd behind them. The people entering were unaware of the problems being experienced at the fence— police or stewards would normally stand at the entrance to the tunnel if these central pens had reached capacity and would direct fans to the side pens, but on this occasion did not, for reasons which have never been completely explained.

The problem was overcrowding. The gate the police opened led straight towards the central pens of Leppings Lane - pens that had already been filled to capacity. Instead of cordoning off these full pens, and directing fans into virtually empty side pens, the fans were sent blindly down the dark central tunnel, with no means of escape. The crush was so fierce that twice gates burst open onto the pitch, but far from allowing dying fans to escape, the police closed the gate on both occasions. Fans trying to climb over the fence at the front (a feat in itself as the fence had inward spikes to prevent pitch invasions) were pushed back in by police, still treating the problem as a 'crowd control' issue, in spite of the screams for help.

Was quite difficult to come up with something respectable as im of the belief that if its too fussy when it comes to memorial type things it can look trashy...so ive done a simple GIF instead, its quite long as there are about 20 frames most of which 5 seconds long, as ive named each of the 96:

That's beautiful SGW, quite touching.

(I don't mean to be fussy but could you add an extra frame to the end with the words "You'll never walk alone')? ;)

If you watch it long enough you will see there is a frame that says You'll Never Walk Alone. ;)

Ryan - as it goes i did think of doing that i know how to do it on one frame but unsure on multiple, as its not as easy on several backgrounds.
