Paul Scholes is saying the same thing what is being said here year after year on this very forum. Midfielders trundling around with no desire to track back, players going missing, no disciplines, doing the same thing even when 2-0 down is something everybody has been saying. I give credit to him though that he is saying on record in front of camera cutting out all the BS.

Wengers comments

"The result is very disappointing but the spirit we put in and the effort we put in was great"

"But overall I have to give credit to the fighting spirit and the desire we put into that game."

I have always said Wenger should a bit more direct and open at-least sometimes when it comes to the assessment of our performance instead of trying to defend the undefendable.

Seems like he's been on the spirits, only way to explain the tactics.

He ACTUALLY said this? :dizzy:

Wow! We must have been watching different games then. All I saw was a pansy ass performance by players who embarrassed the badge not only today but on Saturday as well.

Just got back from the game, my observations:

First half poop.

Artetas closing down for the cross that led to the goal lol, that was right in front of me. What a c***.

verms challenge was weak to say the least.

Gibbs run into the box was right in front of me too, he made that goal.

pods cross was fantastic, girouds movement to lose the defender was even better.

Kallstrom ballin.

Kallstroms pass to giroud was potent.

Giroud f***ing up that opportunity to shoot, what a pussy.

Arteta is done generally.

Without wilshere, ramsey, ozil we have limited creativity, cazorla, rosicky ox just didnt look like penetrating.

Ox needs to be on the wing for his pace.

Walcott is missed even more now that ozil is out imo.

That f***ing own goal was a shambles to end all shambles.

Kallstrom is hench and has little pace, but knows how to put himself about, needs a start as soon as he is fit.

im sorry, but how did pod foul their player for the own goal? Am I crazy or was he being pushed all the way?

how did the ref allow such blatant time wasting from vorm the whole game?

how did the ref allow giroud to be thrown to the floor infront of him and wave play on?

Why did the fraud John Cross have to use this headline...

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... ms-3286157

The guy is telling the truth without beating round the bush or cursing. Wouldn't any fan wanting progression promote what Paul said? I say that because I've 'heard' John Cross is an Arsenal fan. These are people who can influence and using the word savages to me may well put the majority on the defensive rather than welcoming such a read. Am I reading into it wrong because I dislike the writer of the article?

Looked like a pen on Caz to me too, was at the clock end and he was fouled up by the north bank, but looked like the guy tried to go through his back and gave him no chance.

flamini was woeful today i still dont see this apparent defensive stability that the guy gives us. Cant tackle, backs off indefinitely allowing teams to counter, no strength poor positioning. The guy gives it his all but he's a woeful footballer.

Giroud was poor but showed good movement for his goal and improved slightly afterwards.

The ox was a liability, podolski wasnt much better but he can kick a ball accurately when under no pressure.
