He struggles a bit with his decision-making but that's a common attribute amongst young players. In my opinion he has the potential to go on to become a starter for us but inevitably it's difficult for him to develop when he isn't playing an awful lot. However, given that he hadn't played for weeks and that he was having to deal with a bang in-form Raheem Sterling all game, I thought he was excellent. He is a very difficult defender to get past because of his pace but I think his tackling is very good as well.
If Sagna leaves in June then we should certainly look to bring in another experienced right-back but Jenkinson will remain very much a part of our future plans. He loves Arsenal and I want him to succeed but I honestly think he has shown the ability he has and will establish himself at the club before long. You certainly can never question his commitment and desire to do well.
