Shocking game. Not enough width really let us down. Gibbs should have started and podolski should have been brought on sooner

On the other hand ozil had a great second half, carzola and giroud scored and we still managed a draw

So the second half.

Ozil was the orchestrator, the star, string-master. He showed some genuine burst of pace which could have rivaled Theo [ i know i am exaggerating at tad ;) ]. Added another assist to his tally and he put in a really good shift. Szczesny improved his performance and made a couple of good saves. Arteta continued to be hollow man in the second half as well while Flamini needs to realize that two footed lunge is a straight red FFS.

We need to have Wilshere nad Ramsey back as Arteta clearly looks neither fit nor in great form. Might sound like knee jerk but i am repeating for the nth time everytime the game gets hot on pace Arteta struggles to cope. Sagna despite the assist for the goal was at fault for their second goal. Cazorla scored a beauty and picked his game up in the second half. Giroud produced a nice flick and i give credit to him for that but he simply lacks the zing to grab the game by the scruff of its neck and produce a goal out of nowhere.

We came out of the blocks very quickly in the second half had a nice spell of ten minutes where we scored a couple of goals but dropped our guard and immediately relinquished our lead when we got caught out on the break. I must add i am starting to feel sorry for Podolski. I mean its hard to motivate yourself when your manager thinks you are going to be brought on just to run the clock. If one is brutally honest barring the 15 minutes at the start of the second half, Southampton clearly bossed it today. Luke Shaw looks like real neat prospect and lallana had superb game so did Rodriguez.

I repeat we could have had a better shot at the game if had Ramse or Wilshere in the side. I know its not the worst result but with Flamini out for three games and Arteta clearly struggling with his form and fitness we may have another issue on our hands along with the Striker situation.

Some bad news for Arsenal. Told Ramsey has been ruled out for 4-6 weeks with a tendon problem.

FFS. Worst news possible. He's our match winner.

Arteta and Flamini was not why we where shit today.

Everyone simply played like crap, Arteta in general isn't a great player anymore.

Yes, it is. Arteta and Flamini just aren't good enough on the ball, and if your central midfield isn't good enough, you can't control a game. I hope Wilshere/Ramsey's back for Crystal Palace.

Offcourse the central midfield is not good enough. But it takes drop of points for people to see that. Its like whenever we scrap a win we are amazing and there is no weakness. Suddenly we drop points and people are talking about bunch of players not being good enough. I bet you had we somehow sneaked a 3rd they wouldnt say this. There is a reason why even teams come to our ground and dominate possession. The central midfield is too weak physically and not enough mobility

:rofll: No Ramsey, Wilshere or Rosicky. Arteta at CM is clearly not the answer, but when you have quality like that missing. you're going to look weaker in midfield.

This post reminds me of when the our fullbacks are killing us thread and the we have no pace on the wings threads. 1 game and everything falls apart apparently.

If rambo is out maybe we should play either flamini or arteta alongside either jack or ox.

What in f**k's name are they doing in training sessions? Kicking the shit out of players? How do we get SO many major to serious injuries from TRAINING for f**k sakes?

we still have jack and the tr7 to come back in
we are pretty well covered in midfield as that is all we seem to have

Or sign someone? We could do with a real DM if we're going to play jack or Ox as a CM. Matuidi would be nice
