Southampton 2-2 Arsenal | Premier League 28/01/14

Southampton aren't in the form that they were when they came to the Emirates and they've got a couple of injuries. We'll beat them if we turn up and play our best; if we're off of our game then things become a bit more tricky.

Özil should be fine to play. We can sub him off after 65/70mins if we're winning.
Monreal has rightfully win a spot in the first team on current form.

Would play this team also but doubt arteta is fit enough to start. will probably be on the bench

I am not missing Arteta at all. A few times, he's been caught as if asleep, allowing some really easy runs through, making it look easy for the opponents and giving them a sense of opportunity. Which ends up making the team around him do the unneeded work recovering around him. I don't recall him being involved with the attack either, so he probably needed this rest. Yes he does disrupt play, but you should be doing that while also keeping it solid, that's when he pays off.

So this rest should hopefully bring him back refreshed.

Szczesny
Sagna Mertesacker Koscielny Monreal
Flamini Wilshere
Cazorla Ozil Podolski
Giroud

If Wilshere isn't fit put Chambo there instead. Southampton are off form and safe from the drop, they will try hard since the carrot of beating a team like us is always a confidence booster, but if we play to our best or play in the professional way we have done all season away from home we will win this.

I'm thinking 2-1

Our injury ferris wheel continues to turn, Wilshere out, Ramsey back in.

Walcott out, Podolski in.

Our depth is rescuing our season.

He's not played in a month, we need to make sure he's back in form when we go to Anfield. he should be on the bench and come on after 60 minutes.

Possibly start vs Palace at the weekend, then should be ready for Anfield.

Agreed. At least 1 month isnt too long for him to have lost a lot of match fitness. Hopefully, he'll be back firing sooner rather than later, we need him on top form for Feb and March

Sanogo is out till the 8th of February, i'm unsure if that is been put back to work on his fitness.

Any news on Rozza and his broken nose? Tomask Rosicky?

We have 3 players unavailable in Sanogo i presume to work on his fitness, Walcott who's out for 6 months and Diaby who may never play football again :(

will be a tough game. They have not been as impressive the last few weeks. i think we will win 3-1.
I want Carl Jenkinson back in a Arsenal shirt next season.

What about Rosicky, if his nose is all fixed up he's due a game.

Can play Flamini - Rosicky.

Rozza would do well against Souhampton with the usual suspects up front and in the attacking mid line.

Once the nose is set, he can use one of those face masks.

Shouldn't take too long.
