Bit harsh.

Yes they switched off and coasted in the 2nd half but its Coventry ffs, the players aren't going to burn themselves out and risk injury when we're 2-0 up, that's why we were calling for subs who want to make an impact and are fresh, two goals from two subs kind of proved the point.

When I saw the line up I was torn between being pleased we had such a strong team out and worried about injuries. As soon as we went 2-0 up I wanted the Ozils and Podolskis off the pitch and safely wrapped up in tracksuits tbh.

This. There was no need at all to go all out for the whole game. Not with so many first teamers out there. Also, in hind sight, it was actually a good thing seeing AW take the FA cup seriously with his team selection. Today.

Quite frankly I have no idea why Ozil was on all game, think most of the forum thought the same.

2 of the 3 subbed are coming back off long term injury, Bendtner was gash. Although there's a very good argument as to why Ozil even started. Maybe AW was worried that without him, we could struggle to penetrate?

Dunno, but Caz could easily have done a job at AM. Then again, hes been struggling for form recently as well after a long layoff...

Just been reading some of the details about the rent dispute thats forcing Cov to play in Northampton.

What a mess :dizzy:

From Wiki:

Rent dispute <collapse-section>

In December 2012, Coventry City owners SISU Capital became embroiled in a high-profile dispute with ACL over the rent arrangement and a lack of access to matchday revenue. The previously agreed rent amounted to £1.2 million per year, but did not give Coventry City access to matchday revenue. A deadline of 27 December 2012 was given by ACL for unpaid rent. After the deadline passed, a winding up order was enforced through the High Court. Subsequently, after ACL planned to place Coventry City FC Ltd into administration, the club itself entered administration, accepting a 10-point penalty from the Football League as a consequence. A further 10-point penalty was incurred when ACL refused to accept the terms of a CVA proposed by the administrator. Coventry City Football Club has since been bought by Otium Entertainment Group, but is still facing liquidation.

Currently, it has been agreed that Coventry City play their home games at Northampton Town's Sixfields Stadium to ensure that they fulfill their fixtures. This has resulted in ACL threatening to sue Northampton Town if they decide to carry on hosting Coventry City's home games. Northampton Town released a club statement saying that they "will not be bullied or threatened".[25]

ACL has since withdrawn its legal action against Northampton Town, but the latter said it intends to take action to recover legal costs already incurred. Northampton also demanded a public apology from ACL

Podolski is best playing behind the striker or on the left. We should give him a free role on the left. He'll just score for fun.

We have our best line-up sorted:

----------- Giroud
Podolski - Ozil - Cazorla
-------- Arteta - Wilshere

That's until Rambo returns.

Back 3 to rotate, with Cazorla and Ozil swapping and Podolski coming central, or hovering freely on the touch line.

f**k this shit. Prem's in the bag.

Only Cov but if there's someone running behind the defence.. Ozil will find you, absolute fact. We need more of that.

This is what Ozil needs.. someone to make that confident run and finish it with a good on target shot... THAT'S ALL. Whether goal or not, you need to be in a shot position.

Ronaldo always made the run, always! Ozil made the perfect pass knowing the run was being made and so every chance both of them done their part and that's why they were so successful. Ozil was encouraged by Ronaldo just by simply making the run and actually making good use of it.

That first goal finish was world class and I rarely use that. He didn't just use all his power and pelt it towards the goal hoping to be on target let alone pass the keeper... Looked up and had time to keep the ball, the keeper gave in and made the dive and a simple side step and he made his shot in an open goal.
