My head says we should rest some players... my heart says we should rip them a new arsehole with everything we've got.

I would rest more players against Cardiff than in this game. Our squad's actually pretty good now though so 'resting' doesn't mean playing absolute dross instead.

Rest players vs Cardiff at home. That should be a breeze.

They need to be put to the sword.

I want to see Levy cry tears of anguish.
I want to see mini spuds streaming out of the stadium.
I want to have conversations with all my Spurs acquaintances.

Failure to do this is not an option.

Rest Per and Sagna here + Giroud + Walcott. Ozil won't be playing against Cardiff anyway.

If Gibbs is injured, slippy-slide a certain Spanish international left-back into the side.

Ceballos - Torriera - Özil
Pépé - - Lacazette - - Auba

My head says we should take this seriously. We should destroy them but we all know how teams that are down often seem to play their best football against us for some reason.

Play to win. We've seen what happens when Arsenal go out on the pitch looking for a draw - they get beaten.

Winning teams
a. are full of players who don't cry off injured (see RVP last season versus this season for instance)
b. have a winning mentality which intimidates opponents
c. don't give a curse about lots of games in succession (cf the Invincibles)
d. have players who take personal responsibility for their own and the teams performance, rather than moaning about "being tired etc")

Play the strongest team - if that includes Giroud AND Pod, then so be it.

If we play our strongest team, we will beat Spurs. if we don't, we won't.

We have a nine day break following this game - no way should we take it lightly and offer up the chance for a famous Spuds win they'd make countless DVDs of. Rest some guys against Cardiff if need be but go all out to tear them a new asshole in the FA Cup.
