Yeah, now we've beaten the Spuds it'd be nice to have a nice easy tie to have in the next round.

Will probably be City away.

This. This season was meant to have the hardest possible route to silverware possible.

the tombola of doom will have its way yet again.

I like the tough games though.

If we're really chasing silverware this year, take the CL for example if Bayern go all the way and if we were to face them in the final, if we are going to win we may as well get them out of the way now.

Otherwise we face a grueling schedule just to end up facing them anyway later and losing then.

With our injuries mounting I think its best to be practical and get it over with and either earn progression or cut our losses and focus on what's realistic.

I dont like tough games at all. I mean yes it was great to beat spurs, but really would you prefer to play spurs home than a none league team at home and rest all the players with walcott not getting injured? With still being in the league title. we cant afford to have tough cup games

Have 2 Bayern games in the middle of Man U/Chelsea/Liverpool/Spurs/Everton or games vs Zenit, and a final vs Bayern as the last game of the season

I know what I'd pick

We f***ked up vs Napoli

............ or for this year in particular, would you rather stretch the squad over 3 competitions and win nothing rather than fall out to the favorites early (or progress knocking them out) and pour everything into the league to maintain top spot and win?

Just for this season we desperately need to break the trophy duck.

But yes it doesn't help that Bayern comes at the same time as the other big prem teams, rather unfortunate schedule.

But then bowing out early may help us?

Going by your theory we should rest vs Bayern then, as they come in the middle of the top 4 games. Which I would agree with

I'd actually rather play Bayern than Zenit, going to Russia to play on a crappy pitch in the middle of all that would be worse imo.

We have a good chance to win the FA Cup, we really should take it seriously this year.

But are we going to get passed Man City if we both advance which is likely?

In a one off winner takes all match against Bayern and City we're likely to come out worse but our strength this season has been consistency and that's why we're top of the league.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't try but that's the likely scenario.

Zenit aren't exactly halifax town? Travelling to Russia and back is a killer nevermind trying to win there on their shit pitch.

zenit is nowhere near bayern and we would never be destroyed by them

Why do we have this inferiority complex? Should we not give it our all because we might lose to City in a later round?

As long as we're in it, we've got a good chance of winning it. The worst case scenario is we have to face City or Chelsea at some point and we are able to beat them. There's a fair chance that we might not have to face either of them.
