This is the guy who was always subbed around 70 mins every single game for Madrid, it became a running joke. He is used to a winter break (Bundesliga & La Liga) and 9 days rest is not as much as you are all making out when he's played 90 mins most games in a new more physical league.
he played 99 games for real madrid beyond the 70 min mark many of them 90 mins a few 120
when we drew 2-2 at wigan in 10/11 when bendtner scored making 8 changes from the side that beat chelsea 2 days before many were screaming.
its a squad game and a club like arsenal should have the manpower to rotate
that said tiredness is a load of old bollocks and an excuse
players always say they would rather play than train and we want every member of the squad desperate to play every game
they aint cleaning sewers they are very lucky to be playing at a great club like arsenal

Scored his first PL goal here last season IIRC. Let's hope he can put away any chances that come his way today.
Only arsenal fans abuse their own players, doesn't need to be consistently called names.

youu obviously don,t listen to football phone in,s
paul scholes was booed off by man utd fans a few seasons ago

Its as if the team have been trained to pass-pass-pass and Podolski had to sit through an hour of that rubbish and thought f' it I'm going to shoot on sight! I love Podolski!

That's exactly it, players are just built differently in mentality just as much as anything and Theo & Podolski are strikers at heart and all they want to do is score.

Without them unless Ramsey is forcing goals for us which seems to have dried up for the moment, we just aimlessly play the ball left to right in front of goal.

As brilliant as some of our players are (Ozil, Caz, Rosciky) they are play makers not finishers.

Just be glad the dynamic duo are both back, imagine how good we'd be if we had a capable striker to go with them as well.

9 games without a goal for Giroud, fact! whens the last time an AFC starting striker had a duck like that? lets see Starmanb run up a stat for that one.

giroud did not score in 7 games
in 10/11
chamakh failed to score in 8 games starting as a striker between the end of nov and the start of march

No way. Could've been 3-0 up with a better f***ing striker.

Giroud is ruining our ability do destroy teams. No coincidence it's when he was good (Norwich) was one of the few times we took a team to the sword.

How many clear cut chances did he have?

The only clear cut chance I saw whas when Theo was put through and fluffed it.

We had loads of possession but did nothing with it - I call that poor!

I watched MOTD Giroud had a 1 vs 1 with the keeper where he shot wide and no fewer than three crosses across goal where his foot was within a yard of the ball, in fact it was much closer than a yard more like a foot and those are his spoon fed bread and butter opportunities he's supposed to be good at.

He's had 810 minutes on the field without scoring as striker ..........Podolski just back from injury scored in 10 minutes.

How anyone can defend that is beyond me.

giroud scored twice v southampton his last goal came 4 mins from the end
he then did,nt score in the next 7 games but did,nt play 90 mins at city or at home to chelsea
when you made this post he had gone 615 mins without scoring
he broke his duck at 680 at newcastle
i still maintain that when you are critical of your own that your facts should be 100 per cent solid

Wow.

six hundred and eighty minutes without a goal from our striker.

I think no further argument is required that we need a new striker who is better than this.

Hopefully Arsene still reads this blog :rofll: :rofll:

To be honest, stats like that aren't even necessary, you just have to look at his finishing attempts to see why we need a new striker.
