I'm not the biggest fan of Giroud but I don't see much difference to other "bigger" teams here f.e. Real and Ronaldo, Oscar at Chelsea, Reus/Aubameyang at Dortmund or Müller/Robben at Bayern aso.
It's quiet normal that midfielders decide games today if you play only with one striker imo can't remember how long Ballack was the only real goalscorer for Germany during our lousy era around millennium.

Those players are attackers though and you would expect them to score goals (rely on them in the case of Ronaldo). Plus Lewa scores for Dortmund so Reus/Abameyang don't really count. With Ramsey scoring is not his job

Chelsea won the league with a record points tally and they relied on Lampard...

They had Droba, you know, the guy who always scored against us.

apart from the 6 times when he did,nt

Heaven help Giroud if he ends the season with 12/

You literally can find countless examples of the same standards not being applied, its so obviously and easily found if one looks it barely become worth a mention when people just refuse to see it.

Giroud doesn't have a backlog of leading a team to a title and being world class and therefore people giving him more time. He still has it all to prove so yeah 12 goals would be naff

giroud won a league title with montpelier in 11/12 scoring 21 goals

One on one with the keeper, all about the pass.

One on one with a goalkeeper isn't a tap in, he battered that into the roof of the net with a great finish.

Yeah, but by admitting that he concedes his incredibly flimsy point that the subs made had nothing to do with us scoring two more goals.

It was hardly a tap-in and I actually agree with you about Walcott, but you're wrong to say that correlation does not equal causality in this case. When the correlation is between subs coming on and us scoring two more goals, you cannot say there is no causality when Flamini physically put the ball in the back of the net.

Any player on the pitch would have scored that, it's not like it was a difficult chance. If Arteta was on the pitch, he would have done the same, and we'd have stood a better chance of killing the game off earlier too.

The fact that he hit it harder than he needed to is irrelevant.

Easy to say that but there's no guarantee. He still has to hit it with enough power and accuracy to beat the goalkeeper and keep it under the bar. Could easily have fluffed it or mis-kicked it into the keeper's hands.

You're confused, that's not my point. My point is that we would have scored more if the subs Wenger made were better.

The player he came on for (Arteta) would most certainly have scored that. He's a much better shooter than Flamini.

He wouldn't have made that run though after playing a full match, that's for sure.

Flamini came on for Cazorla. Arteta played the full 90 minutes. :smartass:

had to take the shot on when he did or it would have been intercepted
shame he used too much power to score the goal
there is a limit on how much power he can use
he won,t be able to call on it if needed in future now
arsenal win and it makes some so unhappy
weird
