Cannot believe we can still go out after winning four of the five games we've played in a group consisting of Napoli, Dortmund, and Marseille. smh

You think Ramsey was off par? :rofll:

Did you not see the flick over for the pen, the tackle recovery's, the drives forward, the runs??

Realistically yes or Borussia Dortmund drop points and we lose less then 3 goals. Top! BD win and we lose less then 3 goals. Then 2nd. Draw or better, then top for sure and that's the way to think!

Exactly. He was superb. Apparently Giroud was better :dizzy:

Ramsey was better but Giroud wasn't anyway near as bad as you (predictably) made out.

Strange discussion as nobody mentioned the fact Giroud was very well known by Marseille and brilliantly marked. His job was to take out 2 players and leave room for the team. That's why the guy behind the striker is so important. The better the striker the more worried the defense leaving more room for the rest of the team. Why do you think Ramsey has scored so much this year! Yes he has improved but because of Giroud not in-spite of him! However tonight Wilshere was great and to win 2-0 with little threat everyone has to stick to a plan and the plan has to work! Well done Wenger again!

gooney wrote:Very worried for this game. I really hope we dont turn up all complacent and believe our hype. Truth is last few games we havent played well at all and our attack is really lacking fluidity. I would be very disappointed if Walcott doesnt start this game. Marseilles biggest weakess is their left back. We have to attack Morel. This whole playing 5 central midfielders is really hurting us and tomorrow if we play the 5 man midfield we play against /Southampton. We will make it easy for Marseille. We have to attack them and stretch them

Yep Flamini is such a staunch Guardian and just keeps things tidy and with Ramsey by his side I'm more confident than ever that this team can play the top 4 and get a decent result, Ramsey did some nice work teaming up with Flam for defensive duties as well as helping in attack, he's become a full blown all action star CM, such a massive turn around.

With Wilshere coming into form following on from Ramsey, Caz and the rest of midfield every ones returning just at the right time.

I think losing by 2 goals would make it go down to away goals and Dortmund did better than us so they'd be through. Out if us and Napoli it would then go down to goal difference if we lose 2-0.

yes and we would have a better goal difference than napoli

In all fairness starmanb that was a comment aimed at when he had the ball with two Arsenal players streaming through on goal waiting for a pass ...... he screwed it up royally because he's crap outside the box and running ball to feet.

That is true.

If he tidied up that aspect of his game it would make a marked improvement.

so he is always crap outside the box because of 1 incident?
he puts a shift in for the team and sometimes it is outside the box

great to see wilshere bang in a couple tonight and going the right way again to being the class player we all know he can be
ozil was a mixed bag of below par and then the next minute outrageously brilliant. you will see the best of him when he has more runners bursting past him and he gets more acclimatised to the pace of the pl but that seems pretty obvious as the guys world class
be interested to know what ppl think about santi? he looks a shadow of his former self, is he still injured has his wife run off with the milkman has he drawn bendtner in the team sweepstake for top scorer! whats up with him??
