Me thinks the real issue is that we have zero presence in the box and no real long range shoters...its quite fustrating to see all these passes near the edge off the box...you have to admitt chelsea neutralised us completely...no real threats from us

Exactly, we simply got too many injured players to perform properly focus on 4 competitions. Slightly disappointed but not angry about the loss. Bring on Liverpool.

I get that this year of all years the COC isn't a priority, but guys like Jenkinson, Monreal, Wilshere etc. will automatically become first-teamers if our "first" team members get injured. This game shows that they're not ready. I think both teams played hard, Chelsea especially kept attacking until the end. We need that sort of drive and dedication from our B-team as well.

I thought Monreal did pretty well actually. He's at about the same level as Gibbs IMO.

He hasn't been able to do that in an Arsenal jersey in a long time. Same with Gervinho. Maddeningly inconsistent during 2 years at Arsenal, and yet flourishing from Day 1 at AS Roma.
