Muller, despite his skill, is a terrible cheat. I can't stand him

Fair enough. I agree. I don't consider him the GOAT cos f well he isn't which is clear to all who isn't a troll or clueless.

Just out of curiosity, who do you consider the GOAT?

I don't have a definitive answer yet but I consider Pele, Maradona, Zidane, and the real Ronaldo to be better - that's just off the top of my head.

Pele.

But I never saw him play.

I don't rate maradona much either.

If I went by players I've seen, Ronaldo by a mile. Zidane is also up there.

Mascherano is one of, if not THE best marker in the game. Excellent tackler, great at positioning and bossing a midfield around. He is outstanding. For some reason, though, he is played out of position at Barcelona. He cannot be a CB with his relatively weak aerial game.

Whenever he is played as DM, as he should always be, he excels.

mascherano is awesome, Belsa make him debut in the mayor national football team before he even play his first game as a proffessional in River Plate, thats how incredible he is. One of the most inteligent players in the world.

and then there is Cruyff, Garrincha, Di Stefano, Puskas, Eusebio, Baggio, Ronaldinho, Zico, Platini, George Best, Beckenbauer, Zoff still to consider and more.

When I got older and wiser I realized how stupid and immature I was to dislike such a quality driver and a nice guy.

I really started to miss him when he retired and his ice cold driving style and personality.

Moral of the story is in 10 years time when Messi retires and you can't see his gifts week in week out, are you really going to still be hating him?

You don't know what you have to its gone!

Just though i would requote myself everytime i see this Messi hate nonsense appear! Appreciate quality when it arrives because it will not last forever!

I agree but Barcelona prefer Busquets as the defensive midfielder in their system and can't accommodate both of them in the midfield at once.

Mascherano is a glorified CB. He can run like a terrier and tackle but ask him to make a 10 yard pass and you will know. As i have said majority of top clubs prefer players who can pass and shoot like Alonso and Busquets for holding role and not Mascherano. This whole concept of Wasting one slot for a player who can only blunt attack but cannot distribute/pass for sh*t is ludicrous.
