Everyone is proud of your country today. Became everybody's second team. You should be proud to be a Costa Rican

I'm now officially rooting for Germany, Argentina and Brazil. These pricks cannot win.

I haven't watched first half but Dutch deserved to win after that.

CR made a great story, congrats.

Holland have lost three finals - Spain in 2010, Argentina in 1978 and West Germany in 1974.

They've already beaten Spain. They have Argentina next. Could face Germany in the final. Destiny?

Costa Rica should be proud, getting that far especially with the Group they had is no mean feat.

Whats the Beef with Krul, was completely in the opposition head, loved it.

Great decision from LVG at the end but some of the praise is ridiculous. Couldn't beat huge outsiders in 120 minutes of football. No disrespect to CR but it's the truth.

Don't think Krul did anything wrong either. Fair play to LVG. Took a risk and it paid off.

It was unsportsmanlike.

What next? Goalies dry humping the approaching striker before he takes his pen?

Fk takers doing elaborate mating dances before the ref gives a nod?

Goalie urinates on all 4 corners of the penalty area and goal line to mark his territory?

Get on your fecking line Krull!

Krul 'sitting on the bench, seeing the team nearly winning and then you have to go in and save the semi final', repeating himself 'bla bla go in and having to win the penalty shootout'

what an arrogant prick

So? You should be able to put the ball in the bloody net within 120 minutes of playing. Especially considering CR were totally knackered towards the end.

Showed us mere fans that even in this low point of football, there is still hope.

See you in Russia in 4 years.
