Belgium and Russia.

It's Belgium's first world cup with their super squad so I'm unsure how they'd deliver. Looking forward to it.

@HLNinEngeland
Christian Benteke has torn his achilles tendon. No World Cup for him.

Allegedly out for 6 months so no club move for him either.

Lukaku's link up play still isn't good enough and if he also picks up an injury, Belgium will have to go to the world cup with guys like Jelle Vossen and Michy Batshuayi and bottlers like De Sutter, De Ceulaer, Pollet, De Camargo, Mboyo, Vleminckx, etc. These players wouldn't even start for Hull or Crystal Palace.

just thinking about that :rofll: :rofll: We'd better play without striker in such a case.

:grin: yeah, i'd rather count Mirallas in the list of strikers and bring an extra winger/attacking midfielder instead, Lestienne and Thorgan Hazard come to mind. (Maxime's suspension from the national team expired March the 1st)

GK: Courtois, Mignolet, Casteels

DF: Alderweireld, Meunier, Kompany, Vermaelen, Van Buyten, Lombaerts, Vertonghen

CM/DM: Witsel, Fellaini, Dembélé, Nainggolan, Defour

AM/WF: E. Hazard, Mertens, Chadli, De Bruyne, Lestienne/T. Hazard

ST/CF: Lukaku, Mirallas, Batshuayi/Vossen

Not sure whether to go for Batshuayi or Vossen and T. Hazard or Lestienne as they all deserve a spot imo. Batshuayi is clearly more talented and is better individually but Vossen is more experienced, is an excellent finisher, works very hard and knows how to cope with being further down in the pecking order. Batshuayi - just like Lestienne - doesn't have the best disciplinary record he's been suspended for not obeying the rules whilst on international duty with the u21s. Lestienne or T. Hazard - really difficult decision as well imo.

Vossen is out of form... Well, so is Batsuayi, but I'd still take him. T. Hazard is having a better season than Lestienne (although Lestienne's stats aren't bad: 10 goals and 7 assists in (10 goals in 28 starts I think? Not bad at all for a winger), but T. Hazard can't play on the wing, and Chadli, Dembele, De Bruyne, E. Hazard, Fellaini (ugh) will all be in front of him for the AMC position. The only "real" wingers we have are Mertens and Mirallas (who may have to play as a striker if anything happens to Benteke). Lestienne's also someone who always runs onto the ball, which might be good with all those passing players.

you boys know your team presuming your both belgium.

the team looks mental strong to me although can see maybe a bit of cutting edge missing at times, without Hazard who is gonna provide it ?

Januzaj would be good to have in the squad, would like to see there team in a few years if he was playing for them.
