Wasn't there history of not getting paid though?

I could understand if the money was going somewhere good, like what England players do but it's just stolen from them for their FA to live on isn't it? Again, I might be wrong but it's how it comes across to me from what I have seen.

Why would a City fan think it's all about money? Most of the time we haven't had any!

Cameroon were shit. No player can hold their head high.

They were more concerned about being paid than putting on performances. I know as a City fan you think football is all about the money these days but for the purists it used to be about playing on the grandest stage of them all and then sorting out bonuses.

I hope when you go to work, your okay working without receiving your salary.

Football is a job like any other, accept it. Its not a hobby, there's nothing recreational about it.

I get my salary after I work, not before.

You'd think as football players they'd be more concerned playing football rather than getting bonuses which as it turned out wasn't deserved as they were terrible.

Simple, without the money, City would be languishing in the lower leagues with Shaun Goater as your all time greatest player. Since the money, you'd be forgiven if you thought it was all about the money seeing as you're nothing without it.

You seem to be missing the point. We have had no money more than we have had the money. I know what it's like down in the third tier. Funny thing is, if Arsenal were there you wouldn't even be supporting them, although I can't prove that.

Lol. Been an Arsenal fan for over 24 years. No I've never seen us in lower league shite but then any fan that has is long gone by now as we haven't been out of the top division for a century or so.

Whereas City who had 5 fans or so while they were down there now get thousands so it's fair to say you weren't one of the 5 although I can't prove that either. Maybe you were.

Well I was posting on GW over 10 years ago

And when we were in the third tier, we were only getting 10,000 on average less than Arsenal who had won the double the previous season. ;)

About the 10th highest in the Country I think. The only time I've seen our support drop of was due to Stuart Pearce.

This was around 10 years ago?

I guess we'll us have to take your word for it about City. A small club not having many fans is not exactly earth shattering news.

Not many English clubs had won as many honours as us, even before the money. :)

And it was 15 years ago in the third tier. 98/99.

Yorky is true blue.

I recall giving City fans shite when they found the money and went ape. Turns out they were just taking the piss and having fun. Yorky schooled me on what true City fans are like. Been respectful ever since.
