I thought the 8 year rule thing was a Blatter thing more than an actual FIFA rule.

Once he fucks off, Europe should get it every other World Cup as it was before he came in.

2030 won't be in Europe. It's 100 years and they want to take it to the land where it all started. The only way Argentina-Uruguay 2030 doesn't happen is if they can't manage it, which isn't entirely out of question. If so, 2030 might be held in Europe or Australia.

2026 will be in USA, and like SchGoo said, I hope it's in Canada instead. Colombia has also bid for 2026.

Plus and this is most important, I'd have more chances to go to games. Going to a World Cup final is on my bucket list. And they won't be on at stupid times as it would be if it was held in the Americas.

How do you came to that conclusion ?
You only had two UEFA elite stadiums in England (Wembley and Old Trafford) in 2013 according to the internet.

Germany 6
Spain 5
Italy/Portugal 3
England/Netherlands/Scotland/Turkey 2
France/Wales/Greece/Austria/Russia 1

Blatter gives the World Cup 9.25/10

Not sure why the .25 other than him being an idiot and trying to be different.

9/10 for me. Best World Cup I've seen and 3rd best tournament overall

Americans had it just a few World Cups ago

Russia is in Europe and they're hosting 2018. Plus, the 8-year rule: The same continent cannot host a World Cup within 8 years.

2018 - Russia
2022 - Qatar
2026 - USA
2030 - Argentina and Uruguay (100 years celebration, rumored)
2034 - Zimbabwe (They're planning to bid) :P But yeah, Europe will get this.

This. FIFA has a new rule where confederations can't hold a World Cup if another member of their federation has held one of the last two. So, Europe won't be able to bid until 2030 at the earliest.

2026: USA, Mexico, Canada, Colombia, Morocco (UEFA and AFC can't bid)
-Canada could get it, but I can't see FIFA passing up the opportunity on the revenue a USA World Cup would bring in. The USA hasn't bid yet, but we will in the next few years. We're as close to having a 2026 World Cup in the USA being official without it actually being official. Also, this World Cup will occur during the 250th anniversary of America declaring independence from Britain, so I can see that playing a factor.

2030: Uruguay-Argentina, Chile, collective bid from SE Asia, England?, Morocco?, Egypt? (AFC and CONCACAF can't bid)
-With FIFA passing on Colombia in 2026, it's pretty much going to be written in stone that the 2030 World Cup will be a joint venture by Uruguay-Argentina to mark the centennial of the World Cup.

2034: Italy?, Zimbabwe?, England?, Australia?, Morocco?, Egypt?, Germany?, France?, Spain?, China? (CONCACAF and CONMEBOL can't bid)
-I could see a close bout between Australia, Italy, and China with FIFA making Italy the first three time hosts so that Italy will be forced to update its stadiums and to mark the centennial of the first European World Cup which was held in Italy.

2038: China?, Australia? (CONMEBOL and UEFA can't bid)
-Will FIFA finally give Australia a World Cup or will the yuan prove too tempting for FIFA?

Don't rule out New Zealand bidding in the future. OFC haven't hosted it yet and FIFA want to take the game to newer places.

NZ will never get the world cup. They don't have anything like the money, interest in the game or the stadiums. I wouldn't be surprised if the OFC didn't exist by 2026 anyway, it makes sense to absorb them into Asia.

NZ didn't even have one stadium (IIRC) that fits the FIFA regulations and they seriously don't need twelve stadiums with at least 40000 seats in that 4m people country. Maybe if Australia and NZ host it together I could see them built two of them.

Brandon wrote:2034: Italy?, Zimbabwe?, England?, Australia?, Morocco?, Egypt?, Germany? ..

Most likely we will bid for the EC2024 according to some interviews with "DFB guys" so I doubt that we will try to get the 2034 WC cause the stadiums aso. are not that old in 2034 maybe in the next round for a "UEFA hosted WC" 2042 (?)

According to a media report here the FIFA made 1.6billion € profit with the WC !
Combined turnover was 3.3billion €.
They paid only 425million € premiuns to the teams and national associations..
