Currently reading God is not great by Christopher Hitchens. Great book, devalues the whole concept of religion.

Takes me ages to finish a book. Only read when on the toilet or sometimes before sleep

Have read a lot of sci fi over the past few years. Currently on Light by M John Harrison

Also been reading Gai-Jin on and off for the past 4 years lol. I'm not even half way through, can't get into a run with it.

Few of my family have kindles. Not my kind of thing, prefer real books. Useful for people who like to take a lot of books with them though, like old women generally do. Or if you do a lot of travelling

I tried reading books from my ipad but I couldn't really get into it as my ipad is too big so I switched back to physical books. There are significant advantages of reading electronically though, you can read in the dark, alter font size and what I found most useful was you can highlight the text and make notes but that might not be relevant to the books you read and I don't know if you can do it on a kindle. Its probably better environmentally too.

Also, you can get a lot of books for free from amazon, or less than $1.

And you always have torrents. :hiding:

You can torrent books?

I have just read "The way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson, a must read for fantasy novel fans.

I am now starting "The Count of Monte Cristo", I have had it for 6 years and I have always been daunted by it being over 1000 pages but now I have thought what the hell.

Just finished "32 Programmes" by Dave Roberts.
Great book about his love of all Football and the fact that before he moved to USA he had over 1,000 programmes and his missus said he could only take enough to fill a Tupperware tub.

He also wrote "The Bromley Boys" about a young boys love for his local non league club. Peter Crouch has said it the best football book he has ever read.

If you liked Fever Pitch you will love these two books.

Sounds good might check it out

For anyone who's a fan of fantasy I recommend Orcs by Stan Nicholls for a very different (and very enjoyable) take on the genre.
