The second hand game industry is killing off game companies. While I do not particularly like EA, modern games cost as much or more than films to produce, and take a damn sight longer. Its not unheard of now for a game to take a year or two and cost 20/30/40 million to make, its only in the initial sales that they can recoup that. In the sale of second hand games the game companies get raped, smaller developers cannot withstand those losses.
Ever trade in a newish game? they give you shit store credit then sell the game for 10% less than the original cost.
