I've gone to Greece for four of the last five summers.

I can never afford to go outside Europe, there has to be a beach for the missus, and can't afford the South of France, Croatia or anywhere in Italy. So really we're limited to Spain or Greece... all comes down to the cuisine for me

So anyway, Greece again this year, not sure which island yet.

Used to go to Greece when Dracma was the currency. Well cheap them days :)
With the way their economy is I'd've thought being there is expensive?
I don't go anywhere within the Euro zone. Cost of living must be expensive when you convert £ to €.

Our first visit was to Kos and the prices were very good, but we noticed the second time we went out (to Zante) that the prices were a little ridiculous all of a sudden.

The last two times we've been out we've gone to Corfu, at two contrasting resorts. The first was Paloekastritsa, BEAUTIFUL, very quaint and traditional, only the odd British bar scattered here and there, perfect place really. The second time (last summer) was to Sidari, a nice beach and a beautiful costal feature called the Canal d'Amor, but other than that you'd only enjoy the resort if you're a piss head, it really wasn't for me... far too many English people

But anyway, we found both resorts to be well priced. Whether it was a remote taverna in Paleo that was cheap because it was on the outskirts of the resort, or a slightly less traditional taverna in Sidari that did 3 course set menus for €7 to compete with all the other resturants, it was all good.

Wouldn't reccommend Sidari though, it's a Kavos in the making. Not very traditional at all.

Weymouth! Not exactly exotic but far enough away for 2 babies under 1! Going in June too, which is good. Being on maternity leave means we can go on holiday out of term time. Much cheaper!
