Fed-up Viviano ready to quit Arsenal

Fed-up Viviano ready to quit Arsenal

Postby Arsenal~Fanatic » Mon Jan 06, 2014 5:25 pm

Emiliano Viviano is unsettled at Arsenal.

The Italy international is yet to feature for the Gunners since his summer loan move from Palermo and is concerned he's set to miss out on World Cup selection with Italy.

Gazzetta dello Sport says Saturday's FA Cup win over Tottenham was the final straw for Viviano, who saw Lukasz Fabianski chosen ahead of him for the game.

Bologna have been mooted as an early contender for Viviano's signature this month.

Oh well. Not surprised really, and I thought Fabianski performed well.

One thing i like is Fabianski's attitude. I am surprised Viviano has thrown in the towel so early.

No quotes, typical tribal football. The other week he was saying he was loving life and how arsenal have treated him.

From first choice at Fiorentina to third choice here, I'm not suprised if it's true.

Yeah tribal football have a reputation of just making things up, basing their articles on pure speculation but I wouldn't be surprised if this were true. Unless - of course - he's a type of goalkeeper who's happy to collect his money without caring too much about being third choice.

Tbf I don't think he would have agreed to come here if he wasn't happy with being backup. Remember Wenger is very honest in negotiation and if he's buying you as backup he'll tell you so (see Vertonghan and maybe Gustavo).

Yeah but when he arrived here Szczesny wasn't in the best of form, had only 12 months left on his contract, Fabianski looked to be on his way out, Mannone had just left - so maybe he saw a chance to break into the first team?

Don't know why he hasn't been played tbh, Flappyhandski is clearly going so why waste time playing him?

Fabianski is probably better than him.

Fabianski deserves to be ahead of Viviano in the pecking order. Fabianski has been really patient and would be unfair to demote him below Viviano.

I don't blame him. What was the point of us loaning him when we're not even going to play him?
