Tony Hawk Pro Skater 1+2

Finally! My nostalgia has been begging for this.

Well that's game of the decade wrapped up. Might as well skip to 2030 for new considerations.

+1

Great memories, man. Collecting S-K-A-T-E, hidden tapes and cash whilst blasting Bad Religion, Dead Kennedys, Millencollin, NBN, RATM,... Difficult to not get sentimental over.

Looking forward to unlocking Spidey, Officer Dick, McSqueeb, Private Carrera, Chopper Drop and Skate Heaven, as well as landing JT's famous Leap of Faith on a remastered School. :yum:

Who are your favorite THPS 1/2 pros?

I remember mainly using Bob Burnquist (loved his goofy style...at least I think it was him with the left foot push preference?), Bucky Lasek, and I believe Chad Muska was the third IIRC.

I'm really looking forward to being able to do absolutely stupid, illogical, gravity-defying tricks for huge point combos again. Screw realism

↑ Bob Burnquist has a regular stance, but was—along with Rodney Mullen—the best at skating switch.

Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Eric Koston have the goofy stance.

IIRC, revert-manual (following a vert trick) wasn't introduced until THPS3 which allowed you to make those 7-figure combos. The same goes for the push-animation.

Hopefully these two features be implemented in the THPS 1/2 remaster.

Ah okay! Maybe that's what I was thinking of. Cheers for the correction.

And you're correct, was looking at YT videos, and the combos end after vert tricks in 1 & 2. I think I'm mixing all the OG games up since I was less than 10 when they were released. But it would be incredible if the devs made the THPS 3+ QoL improvements available in the 1+2 remaster.

Now if I can also get an SSX 2 reboot, but that's just getting greedy and I don't trust EA with their love of microtransactions these days.
