The demo is out on Steam now so i'm just wondering if anyone has downloaded and what they think of the game?

I haven't played much, just started a game to see the new features and stuff, the player interaction now is really good, you can talk to agents and stuff. The set-piece creator is a nice touch, it's basically what was there before but now it shows you a pitch and you can kinda see what you're telling your players to do.

Overall it's pretty decent, think I may buy it. :)

What do you mean set peice creator? Can you now tell them to just shoot or like float in to the back post to head it out to the edge or the area and whatnot?.......... Becuase that would be sweeeeeet!

I think I'll steer clear of this one.

Was addicted to previous versions.

I'm happy to have my normal life back now.

No, you know like you could give corner instructions like Near post flick-on, Challenge GK, etc. Now you see the pitch and you can drag the players where you want to put them, it's like on the formation screen.

Here i'll take a screenshot, give me 2 minutes.

EDIT - Here you go, that's the tactics screen.

Haven't bought a football manager game for nearly ten years (I was addicted to it before I discovered footy forums on the net). Do you still have to have the cdrom in whilst playing the game? Was thinking of buying it but only have a really slow external cd drive.

Nah mate... You need it to install the game but after that it runs from a programme called Steam.
So once you've had it installed then you wont need the disk ever again!

You can even buy it off Steam and never need the disk I think.

Next Friday Mass.

Started a game as Arsenal, 1st game of the season I got Manure at my ground and beat them 3-0! Then the 2nd game of the season, I get Chelsea at their ground so i'll be happy with a point in this game but then after 60 minutes i'm 4-0 up! They then come back and make it 4-4 in the 91st minute, abslutely gutted...

Didn't change the squad too much but Squillaci got injured before the season started and Djourou was already out so I brought Mexes in, with his contract up at the end of the season I got him for a pretty cheap price of £5.25M. As for players sold Rosicky went to Fiorentina for £3.9M and Diaby went on loan to City for £3.9M but if they want to make it permanent they will have to pay me an extra £3.6M.

I probably shouldn't have sold Rosicky as £3.9M is pretty cheap for him and I didn't really need the money but there's so many players in his position in the squad so I wanted to get rid of 1 of them and he seemed like the best 1 to get rid of. :) Plus I wanna give JET and Lansbury more playing time so the less players infront of them the better.

I hope they have fixed that stupid 'comeback' bug which was in last years game! That was murder, becuase if you scored and didn't set your tatic to defend then 9 times out of 10, the opposition would peg you back on goals... no matter who you were!!

Cant wait to start my first game with Arsenal though :D
