Fabianski: 7.5 - started nervously and flapped at a few crosses but was a calming influence for the last 30 minutes and was there when we needed him most. 7.5 is probably a bit generous but after what Fabianski has been through with the club it's good to see him performing solidly since he's come back into the first team - looks like the right choice for the run in at the moment.

Sagna: 4 - started the game well enough but completely lacked end product despite finding himself with time and space in good positions, after the red card I thought he was pretty bad at times, looking tired and unable to keep up with what was being thrown at him, poor positioning and a lack of drive led to a flurry of crosses coming of their left flank.

Mertesacker: 4 - things were pretty straight forward for him (awesome back tackle aside) until WBA started hoofing those long diagonals and on the second or third ball they put through he manages to fluff his lines completely - if he hadn't wasted time looking to the linesman it could have been a simple ball to head out, he needs to fix that because I see him look across to the linesman quite a lot in matches.

Koscielny: 7 - another solid performance from Koscielny, he looks to be regaining his form steadily. He's probably got the best raw ingredients out of any of our CB's, just needs to work on consistency and his reading of the game/decision making and he'll be a top defender.

Monreal: 7 - again, Monreal looks better by the game and is definitely going to provide real competition for Gibbs over the coming years. Did his job well on the whole though like Sagna I'd like to see him cutting out the crosses more.

Arteta: 6.5 - Arteta looks a better leader on the pitch than Vermaelen, we saw him being incredibly vocal at the end, hyping up the lads and keeping everyone focused. For a man who's been played out of position almost entirely since he arrived he does his job well and without fuss like a real pro and his plain looking role is often what makes us tick. I don't deny he's not really suited to being a DM but if you look at his stats he's not doing the job that badly.

Rosicky: 8 - 3 crucial interventions that won us the game, flair and purpose going forwards, always looking to move the ball on quickly instead of slowing play down and passing it sideways - he knows how to break and how to counter properly unlike a lot of our players and in the run in that drive for forcing the play forwards quickly could be really useful.

Ramsey: 6.5 - I think Ramsey's form has been much improved recently, he still has conspicuous mistakes in him but his general play is looking far more steady and he showed good intent going forwards yesterday. The miss looked like it might have actually been a corner so I'm not going to hold it against him. I still don't view him as a first teamer but more of a squad player currently, but I also think Wenger has been right to show patience with the boy.

Cazorla: 6 - Slightly quiet at times but in general was very creative in the final third, threading neat passes and constantly looking to force the play. Went a bit too quiet for the run in along with the rest of the midfield to be fair.

Gervinho: 6.5 - another good game from Gervais and I reckon his assist was a cross, not a shot like most reports state as fact. I don't particularly rate him, I assume few or none of us do but when he's confident his scatty style makes things happen, however much you don't like him. I've seen a stat floating about that he has a higher goal/assist per minute ratio than Bale this season - at the end of the day that's how they earn their money and if he keeps helping create chances then he's valuable to us.

Giroud: 6 - Spent a lot of the game isolated in an awkward role, Webb wasn't giving him anything and he didn't get many/any clear cut chances but I think in general he wasn't that bad and with a bit of luck he could have had an assist and a goal. He's not been getting the rub of the green lately but I think it's worth being patient with him. He's never going to be the world class outlet for goals this team needs but he does and will offer us a different option and I think he could become a very solid player if he can develop over the coming 18 months.
