Szczesny getting 5 in a game where his HOWLER broke our string of clean sheets, in a game where his kicks and clearances went either out or to a Southampton player, in a game where he looked nervous and shaky as sh*t. By that yardstick Cazorla must get 50.

How did Coquelin do?
Only saw the 60 minute highlights and didn't see much of him.

Worf MOTM for me

Again I thought Cazorla wasn't quite at his best which is to be expected after all the travelling he has done recently but he's so good that it doesn't matter against technically inferior teams

Coq was ok, fairly anonymous game but like AOC, that doesn't mean he was bad, just quietly got on with it.

I gave Arteta Motm, he just keeps us ticking, dictates the way we play.
Fatal Descent
Spinning around
I've gone too far
To turn back round

Desperate attempt
Stop the progression
At any length
Lift this obsession

Forehead motm for me. The guy was everywhere. Made a sick shimmy and run to lose their defender then a sick finish for his first goal, then excellent positioning to keep going and follow up ramseys shot for the second.

He was a thorn in their side for the whole game, constantly laying up great chances for others and penetrating their defence by getting to the byline in tight spaces with double markers at times.

Played a blinder. If pod had scored a second, I would have given a joint motm as I wouldn't have been able to choose.

I think although Gibbs withstood the pressure he did not have a great game and deserves no more than 7 imo.

Was finding it difficult to judge tbh. We were clearly tired, playing away, went 1 down in the first 10 mins but fought back to take the lead then shut them out (although luck and poor finishing was on our side). This against the French champions pumped up playing at home in the CL for the first time.

Overall great first half, poor second half, great result.

If Ramsey had put in the performance Diaby did yesterday he'd have got 1's & 2's

Difficult to rate Gervinho. He made a mess of everything today but on the other hand it's his great movement, work rate and unpredictability that gets him into good positions in the first place.
