Yank!

Postby ArsenalAmerica » Wed Jul 23, 2014 2:42 am

Hey all. Just joined.

A little backstory:

I am from the U.S.
California to be specific.
I am 28 years old

I just recently got into football. Way back around 2008, my college roommate was a huge fan. I never got into any clubs back then but I would watch the Euro Cup and World Cup, etc. I respected the game but wasn't too into it. Didn't follow it.

I watched all of the 2010 World Cup (Of course I am a patriot, so I was rooting for the USMNT) and a religiously watched this past World Cup. Last season was the first time I followed the BPL. I don't find the MLS interesting, but I fell in love with the BPL. I didn't have a favorite team and I didn't want to just choose one. I just watched and figured it would grow on me. Arsenal really stood out to me in so many ways. I am not technically "choosing" to be a supporter of Arsenal. But, they are well in the lead and by contributing to this forum and following them more closely this upcoming season, I expect the love to grow.

haha oh and one thing that really got me into football in general is Football Manager lol that game is addicting.

Welp, just thought I would say hi, introduce myself and let you all know that I look forward contributing to this forum.

Good to see another American on the forum. Trust me, you'll be a Gooner through and through in no time if you watch the BPL

Thanks for all the warm welcomes.

For future reference, please be patient with me. I am still learning the game and still have a long ways to go, but have a pretty solid base under me thanks to extensive playing of FM12, 13 & 14. And also extensively following the BPL last season.

I'd advise you to check out this section: http://www.goonersworld.co.uk/forum/viewforum.php?f=26 as there's a lot of useful information in there. :grouphug:
