Gooner from Colombia

Hey gooners!

I'm really happy to have joined this forum as I'd always wanted to discuss about Arsenal (here in Colombia is almost impossible to find a fellow gooner as everyone is a fan of Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester United, or Chelsea). I've lurked arsenal-mania.com and redcafe.net for a few years but never joined either. I've been an arsenal fan since the 05-06 season, but started watching the team since 04.

Well I'm 25 years old, I'm from Colombia and I'm still currently living here in Bogota. I lived in the US for a large part of my life so I will come off as an american in some of my posts.

When I started watching english football back in 04, only games Fox Sports Latin America would show were either Arsenal and Manchester United's. So I basically only had the choice to pick one between the two and of course the invincibles caught my eye the most. I loved watching the passing free flowing fooball. And became first a fan of Theirry Henry and then of Arsenal.

I also had a weak spot for Barcelona, specially during the Ronaldinho era, but ever since Guardiola took over everyone and their mommas became life long barcelona fans which kind of annoyed me and has made it unbearable for me to like Barcelona anymore. But don't get it twisted. I was rooting for Arsenal in the champions league final in 06 and cried when we lost.

I think that's pretty true of a lot of foreign fans. The Invincibles were a fantastic team and a pleasure to watch. Anyways, welcome to the forum, hope you enjoy it here.
