Against liverpool we got extremely lucky.

This time we completely deserved it. We set up defensively and completely bossed them first half bar 1 stupid mistake from mustafi. Second half they started playing football a bit more and got more chances but sterling didnt know how to finish. Auba on the counter and punished them. Game over.

Still have to earn it, but I cant see Arteta allowing a Baku type performance in the final

The multiple short passes in our own box sure are a risk lol :hiding: , honestly they didn't look rushed or flustered
Pepe's cross to Auba's finish is just ridiculous as everyone has said but getting to watch this replay , the pass from Tierney was a great spot and Laca's first touch  enabling him to switch play was really key. good stuff :arse flag.gif:

Wow....I can only apologise, but just remembered the game and checked the score! :arse fan: :arse fan:

I’m abroad and been a bit full on so hopefully you’ll forgive my oversight! Anyway, so happy to see that scoreline.....I can still recall Phil’s comment after the draw: Well, that’s that then!

Mustafi did in the first 15mins and almost gave away a goal but was fine after.

However that's one of the reasons we're playing 3 CB's, because Arteta has about three things he's adamant on putting in his gameplan and playing out from the back is one of them so he's realised a bit like Emery did that we don't have WC CB's capable of doing it under pressure with just 2 CB's.
That's why I like the 3-4-3 even though initially I wasn't a fan or it being first choice which it wasn't for Arteta either, but you have to use what works for the players you have and I like that Arteta has found his own Arsenal formation rather than copying Wenger or Pep because as he quickly found out, Wenger and Pep have different teams to what he's currently got, the fact that Arteta adjusted and made it work and is further developing it is a good sign.

Unlike Mourhino who just shoehorns his defensive Chelsea / Inter 4-2-3-1 no matter what players he has, win or lose.

You played really well and the win was fully deserved. Hopefully you can stop the others winning it now.

I wish wenger had been able to compartmentalise our draw at Birmingham rather than talking about how he didnt know how he could pick the team up when we were top of the table. I found the cup final winning penalty scoring ex arsenal player and supporter since boyhoods take on this very interesting. Everyday is a school day unless you are lucky enough to know it all
