I am really perplexed by him. It's obvious he's world class at times but then other times he can't make the most basic passes or the easiest of decisions. He needs coaching.

Both Ozil and Laca were poor today. Thought Kola, AMN, Luiz and Torreira were alright today. Red card to Auba and J Ayew, Tompkins let offs marred the game today. They succeeded in breaking our flow with niggling fouls.

The line up was wrong that front four just doesn't work, none of them get into the game so all off them end up being average, Ozil rightly has been praised for stepping up his game but feck he was awful today, Pepe is a 1 in 5 player so that means he loses the ball 80% of the time, Auba scored and got himself sent off and Laca failed to score ... between them 3/10 with just 4 shots on goal, which once again left the rest of the team with too much to do.

Decent enough shift from Xhaka, Torreira, Guendouzi and the back five but decent wins nothing in the EPL. That's now one win in five only Norwich have won less

He needs to keep it simple, which he rarely does. I'm hoping he'll have rectified this in year 2. I'm giving him a pass this season since it's a new team, country and league for him. Right now, I feel he's playing like he's in Ligue 1 and he believes he can still get past defenders whenever he wants. I'm fairly confident that Arteta will help him improve with 1 on 1 coaching.

Hleb was a much better player than Pepe though. Pepe is poor with his decision making and his short range passing so he tries to dribble players all the time because of this.

He did do well today imo. He's doing as best as he can for his level.

Another disappointing result and now we'll lose our best and probably only goalscorer for a few matches, no matter though the league was done a while ago, hopefully now we can focus on the EL.

Reality setting in perhaps that Arteta may not be quite the miracle worker some people think.

In 2006/07 he was annoying.

In 2007/08 he was exceptional. Class player, but as you said, couldn't shoot.

He's not world class. In fact he's never even played at the top level.
He's at his hightest peak now in terms of clubs he's played for - mid table PL - and he's proving to be sh*t.

As for the game - 1-1 is a good result away from home against a team higher up the league than us.
That's our level whether some want to admit it or not.

Thought we played well for much of this game just a bit unlucky with a real shitter of a deflection and the finger tips of their keeper denying pepe what would've been a great winner for the ten men, aubas out but martinelli will get more time on the pitch which is not a bad thing

Toreeira coming off was the problem imo. Guendouzi nowhere near good enough to olay DM yet.
