Let's hope Martinelli can revive this team, because without Aubas' goals we're in real trouble. We dominated the 1st hald today because Palace gave us time on the ball, in the 2nd half they stopped doing that and we struggled much more, Luiz who is a liability at the back was lucky not to get caught with the ball, I agree with those that said the passing from side to side was boring, the first goal was decent but we moved the ball much more quickly, still think with our players we should be countering better.

Obviously reckless by Auba today, but that's directly due to the way Arteta has asked him to play, he's clearly wanting him to chase and harry and if you do that with forwards who can't tackle this is what can happen.

4 games 5 points, that's 5 out of 12, less than 50% on that basis it's been an average performance so far. 2 very big games coming up, Sheff Utd we should win at home, Chelsea away though I fear for us especially without Auba, 11 points of 4th now as well which is a shocker, we've actually got no closer since Arteta arrived.

That goal though was very very good.
Luiz’s through ball.
Ozil’s lay off.
Lacazette finding the runner.
And Auba’s run, control and finish.
That was some high quality stuff.

Palace kicked Torreira off the pitch. The game changed from that moment he was injured.

I like Guendouzi but he is nowhere near as effective as a DM as Torreira. It showed in 2nd half as Palace ran midfield after that.

TBH, we were comfortable until Torreira got done.

How Ayew didn't get a yellow let alone a red is disgusting - 7 fouls - 3 of them willfully late and malicious. Disgusting

Auba deservedly got a red for a terrible challenge.

This gives Martinelli a chance but let's be honest here, he will be kicked around the pitch as this is the English League and other teams will delightfully kick him into injury retirement with the willing support of useless referees. I can see Martinelli becoming another Jose Antonio Reyes in this respect. who was kicked out of the English game in effect.

Pepe was truly awful again. nothing to do with lack of service. He just seems lost or is avoiding the ball most of the time. I don't think he will make it in England as it's too physical (thuggish) for him.

Xhaka - can't believe someone here thought he was good - 20 passes backwards, turning his back for their goal as he went to close down Ayew. COWARD XHAKA - get out of Arsenal!!! He was shit - again and will cost us every time he steps on the pitch.

Luiz- lovely passing and inept defending - the guy is so inconsistent. FS - also at fault for their goal turning his back and making the deflection for it.

Laca - he looks mega fed up atm. Needs someone who supports him - Thought it would be Auba.

Auba - shocking attitude in the 2nd half. No leadership didn't look arsed at all.

Ozil - very poor for the most part but I'd have left him on and taken Xhaka off.

Overall, senior players above need to look at themselves and their attitudes. It stinks of cowardice and petulance. Not good enough and not a good example to some of the younger talent we have coming through. Arteta needs to sort this.

This was Palace folks - a really really awful team with nothing up front. and we blew 2 points against them.
