Sit Back, Counter with Pace.
Its our only hope, even that most likely won't be enough.
Any other way is not just stupid and suicide but as shown this season, the way to beat City is to play with a team of counter attacking runners and play with plenty of pace on the wings and up front to exploit their high line on the break, working a pressing trap or pouncing on unforced errors even. The fact Norwich did this gives me hope, however Norwich while shit work well as a cohesive unit, we are the worlds most expensive pub team.
Despite this hope i have, we may end up getting destroyed anyway, these collective players and Freddie have absolutely no idea how to set up and defend as a unit for 90 minutes. City are organised off the ball, they press as a unit, as we know they play high risk football and a consistent high line in sustained periods, you don't keep the ball vs City unless your very, very good or elite, we are two, three levels below City in quality! We must be sensible and play to solely exploit their weaknesses. We must want it more than them!
City ain't f***ing about here, they need to beat us and beat us well to keep whats left of their title bid intact. Liverpool will drop points eventually however City cannot afford to be 10+ back when they do. Liverpool enter an impossible period of matches so it's vital they come here and win!
So we need luck, we need City to have an off day infront of goal to have any chance, if City are on it then this will be a massacre, even without Aguero.
I would love to go into this using a 3-5-2 if this team as a collective where good enough and had enough understanding of their role, expertise and skill to execute what Wolves did. I think 4-2-3-1 is just easy for these players to understand.
