Appreciate not why we lost, but am staggered but the decision to permit the first goal to stand. Moving ball - I accept the referee may not have seen it, it was taken several feet from where the offence was committed - specifically to gain an advantage. Later in the game ref was insisting Arsenal move it a few feet to take from correct place when no discernible advantage was being gained, but he didn’t blink an eye when it led directly to a scoring chance

Before yesterday Southampton had managed just 13 shots in their last three games in total

6 v Leicester (h)
3 v Man City (a)
4 v Everton (h)
21 v Arsenal (a)

I do wonder why teams shoot more from distance more v us than against anyone else.

I don't remember Leno touching the ball other than to get the ball out of the net and the penalty save. And Torreira nearly scoring an OG

They were shooting from the half way line v us ffs. It's a pointless stat.

Thought losing the 1st goal was a bit unlucky and it was a good response to equalise. After that however very disappointing and Southampton ultimately very unlucky not to win looking back at the chances created. For all the attacking players on the pitch second half it felt like it was only the defensive ones who actually got on the ball with the safe sideways backwards passes and thats what cost Arsenal. Not a big David Luiz fan but credit to him he actually took a chance by playing a hopeful ball and was responsible for starting the move that ended in Arsenal's 2nd. Such an attacking team and that was all I can remember them having to show for the last 20 minutes which clearly isn't good enough.

First goal was terrible officiating. The excise on why var couldn't be used for that was and is a joke.

The reason why teams are taking potshots at us from anywhere on the pitch isn't rocket science, the want the keeper or defenders to have it then try to play out from the back as shittily as we do? Net result they win the ball high up the pitch and attack us, its open season on our Micky mouse defence and non existent midfield
