We were lucky to get a draw against a team I have never heard of.

nah braga are also playing at home in their euopa league and the two staidums are 30 mins apart apparently. Having 4 sets of fans around the same city is a bit of a tall order for the portoguese forces so vitoria got moved coz they are the lowest ranked team probably.

But there is still the potential of fans meeting after/before/at the airport so it completely defeats the point of having them play on the same day.

Really flat and energy-less performance.

I think he's lost the players. Were getting battered on Saurday.

Nope. Can still finish 3rd. Frankfurt and Standard can both finish on 12 points.

Ok. Well we should be through with just one more win or draw then.

Not that this is saying much.

Giving the armband to a clueless rookie like Rob Holding shows how meaningless the captaincy is. How many times did Vitoria open up the defense? If they weren't so shit they might actually won this.

Vitoria are one of the worst teams to ever play in Europe.
We scraped a win against them at home and drew away.

This is a new low for the club.
Vitoria are non league standard in terms of English football.

Forget the result.

We got outshot and outplayed by a bunch of nobodies.

This is embarrassing.

There are no signs or indication that there has been any improvement or will be any improvement under Emery.

He has actually dragged us down.

If the upper management has any respect for the club, they would fire him immediately.

Emery made the mistake of thinking the job was to build on what Wenger had done.
He should have torn it down and started again. A complete detox of everything Wenger was needed.
Too late for Emery now.

Hopefully the next manager will realise and get rid of the 15-20 players we need to in the first team squad and start again.

This is no longer a Wenger team and even bigger mistake would have been to trust Emery to build a new squad when he hasn't a clue about what he's doing. Just look at the evidence and our set up. It's mainly the new players that he's struggling to find a role for and he's going to get sacked because the players Edu and co find for him aren't being used correctly. They'd be crazy to allow him to spend another £200m.

He's tanked the confidence of some promising youth players. We've bought in Torreira and Ceballos but he has no idea where to play either player. He thinks Torreira is best suited further up the pitch to score goals instead of his best suited DM position and why he was on the scouts radar in the first place. Sokratis and Luiz look like complete inexperienced amateurs and haven't bought an steel to the backline. He totally exposed Lichsteiner, another experienced defender that looked clueless. It won't take long for Tierney to go backwards in his development. Pepe was a composed finisher for Lille, he can dribble but also had end product, he's struggling for confidence right now and you're already on his back for his performances. Denis Saurez was another flop. Guendouzi and Leno are the only half decent looking new players and he's already messing with Guen by tinkering with his position and having him play a DM instead of his usual box to box role.

This isn't on the Wenger. You have to think whether this manager is capable of working in a set up where he doesn't have complete control over transfers. The way he's handled this team so far, would you even want him to? He didn't sell himself as a chequebook manager and if we were to go down that route, we'd at least need a chequebook manager that won't shit the bed all the time. He wasn't exactly a roaring success at PSG where he had a massive budget to play with.
