Emery once again proves why he's not good enough, these kind of performances are happening week in week out and to be honest, sicne he arrived he's been very poor, last season his team couldn't perform in the 1st half for months and we never ahead at half time for ages, then there's was the calamitous collapse at the end of last season.
Then onto this season which in the league has been a disaster, poor performance after poor performance and dropped points left right and centre, he can't go soon enough IMO, the longer he staysthe worse it's going to get, would rather give someone else a chance to build something rather than waste time on him, he's not up to it and he proves it every single week.
Tell me how emery is supposed to fix var
Shouldn't need to, if he got his tactics right, drilled and trained his team effectively and motivated the players he'd win despite VAR, that's what decent managers do.
We're dropping points all the time now, it's not VARs' fault we can't beat teams and our defence is as watertight as a sieve and our midfield lacks any creativity.
His team was good enough to win today and we would have.
But VAR makes it worst call ever.
No changing that fact. Football isn't played on paper. Best teams don't always win. Sometimes we need luck. Liverpool got a phantom goal v Sheffield Utd and won that in a match they were outplayed in. We haven't got any
That's the point, they weren't good enough, they were 2-0 up after 10 minutes and still shipped two goals to let their opponents back in, at the end of the day we were the home team and regardless of C Palaces away form we should be winning and winning comfortably and given our performances recently we were own a decent one because we haven't played well in the league all season or indeed since the before the bad run at the end of last season.
I agree the VAR decision was bad, but the truth is we didn't create much, our defence was dodgy once again and Emery made the wrong subs, Martinelli should have been on instead of Saka, given ur lack of creativity, he seems to link up midfield and attack better, is good at heading and seems to be a goal threat, on top of that he's performed really well when he's played so there was no excuse, on top of that Xhaka should have never been playing, he isn't a DM and we have Torreira who is and should be playing there, if anything Xhaka was the one who failed to block the cross for the goal because he was a yard too slow (isn't he always).
All in all another abject performance from the team of a manager who doesn't really appear to know what he's doing (a familiar story at Arsenal these days it seems).
