Along with, 3/4 of the squad, otherwise the manager won't matter, no one can win with our dross

Agreed.

Emery has been far from convincing, but the lack of balance and overall quality of our squad is glaring.

- Painfully average full backs
- No solid CB partnership
- Xhaka and Mustafi playing far more games than they should
- The lack of mobility and spacial awareness in midfield
- The lack of chemistry between Özil and Aubazette
- The lack of pace and individual skill in wide areas

There is just no solid base to build around. Attack, midfield and defense all have major issues and none of this will change until we make marquee signings in each of those areas.

Only a serious and immediate squad overhaul can save us now. The question is, does that overhaul include Emery?

I'm prepared to give him another season but if there are still no signs of improvement next season, we should look to part ways.

You can't build chemistry with your strikers if all you do is passing backwards.

It is like Frankensteins story, we are going to get destroyed by the monster we made.

Big Ollie is amazing :dontknow:

Piss poor performance front three were invisible and the players need to take a long long hard look at themselves.

That performance is not good enough for a final and Chelsea turned up.

Absolutely shambolic tonight and the kind of individual mistakes are just pathetic.

No one quibbled with the line up....it was the best we could put out, but sadly too many average players that needed to play above their usual level. They didn’t and Emery can’t be held responsible for that.

On a 40m budget ffs.

Monreal
Xhaka
Iwobi
Mustafi
Ozil

Need to be sold imo.

Ramsey
Cech
Welbeck
Jenkinson

All leaving on a free should free up some wages, but that still leaves us starting with 40m.

Got no confidence in us doing anything forward thinking this summer and getting shit done.

Yep

Final analysis is this.........we're not doing anything with kroenke

The fans can keep tearing chunks out of each other blaming players or the manager, fact is the last 2 months capitulation is a total and absolute collective failure and kroenke is the one man who can......but won't change it.

We should not blame Emery. He has won many trophies. We should not blame our attack.

It‘s not random that Emery has won 3 EL trophies and lost it tonight with our team. It‘s not random.

That foul of AMN shows exactly what always went wrong in the past years. Going 2-0 down against Chelsea is not embarrassing. Embarrassing is the fact that our defense knowing very well how to f*ck up completely.

It can happen to the best strikers to need a few more chances but it is up to our defense to back them up. If we are honest our strikers were the reason we have been this far. Remember all the mistakes in our defense on the way to the final.

It seems like you can‘t coach our defense. They don‘t learn.

I just hope that this final loss can boost some of the characters in the team for the better.

I fail to see how this Chelsea team has more quality than us. A team of rejects + Kepa, Hazard, and an injured Kante.
