But we should be clear

We had a few clear cut chances we missed but so did Napoli. All things considered I'll take 2-0 over 4-2.

True.

All in all, we've put ourselves in to a great position, plus we've come away with no injuries and ozil, laca and Rambo with a little rest for Monday.

All still to play for

What a really poor second half, but the only real talking point is the utterly ridiculous substitutions by Emery. Shocking.

Of the two strikers, Lacazette actually started the second half ok - holding the ball a couple of times and linking play. Auba did nothing at all and continued to do nothing (but make errors) for the entire match.

Torreira was excellent and gets taken off for Elneny?

Ozil was running the midfield and gets taken off for Mikha - when that happened we dropped our level.

Not sure WTF Emery was doing.

Let's pray 2-0 is enough.

Yes - and Ancelotti exploited it in the 2nd half.
We can't defend long balls into space.

Great result.

Although I was a bit disappointed with the tactics second half. We were far too timid second half imo

More negative than Unai's away tactics. It could be worse, mate.

I thought the same. End of the day it’s a great result and most of not all would have taken that.

Agree though Unai disappointed me with his approach second half. We could have finished them off if we’d came out playing the same

Torreira came off as a precaution due to an injury

Didn't matter which striker came off as they were both horrible.

Ozil for Mkhi was a defensive switch which still gave us creativity going forward and it worked exactly as intended. Mkhi had fresh legs defensively and set up 2 good chances going forward.

Only criticism I have of Emery tonight is not recognizing that Nacho was a liability in defence and switching to 4231 by taking him off.

The subs are strange in the context of this game alone, but we need those 3 as sharp as possible for our next game.

We simply have no more room for errors so having those 2 play 70 mins instead of 95 makes a difference.

We press from the start. We start an attacking team like tonight and press them up the pitch just like we did in the first 20 mins tonight. If we get an early goal, perfect. Otherwise in the second half we make similar subs and we settle in for a gritty defensive performance. Maybe switch to a 433.

That 2nd half is how the full 90mins at Napoli will look.

Our saving grace is that they couldn't shoot for sh*t.

My God.

It’s a great result and we’re hot favourites to progress.

Not if we play like we did in the 2nd half we won't.

I see us conceding 2 away quite easily, although maybe we just knackered ourselves out in the 2nd half so maybe if we play a bit more conservatively we won't break down so much.

But I like Sims point more, if we score just 1 goal they're fked.
