That is why I was so disgusted when he first arrived, Wenger and some on this board were bagging on him just cause he threaten'd Giroud's spot.

That is why we had to get rid of fkin Wenger, doesn't matter what I think of Giroud, what matters is Lacazette is twice if not three times the player Giroud is.

Anyway, game went how I thought, tbf we looked strong.

Its never going to be a goal fest though when teams are going to park the bus but be patient it will come, we're going to have plenty of this till end of season now.

"we're going to have plenty of this till end of season now."

biggest part is be patient while simultanously not schitting ourselves and allowing comically diabolical goals that suck the soul of the squad out...

it'll be a mite tougher on the away games, but... good learning experience...
winning is habit forming!

btw, Starmand... it musta been somewhere in the Guardian...cos here it is again today...

" it added up to a 10th home win in succession in the league. Not since the 1997-98 title-winning season have Arsenal managed that."

Laca and Mesut were unreal

Worst performance I’ve seen Guendouzi put in he had proper trampoline feet

Never hid though and won what seemed like 167372 tackles which was great

And a pen.

?

That handball wasn't a pen imo. Unless you're counting the arm holding of sokratis for his header which was not a pen by normal standards but a bang on pen in terms of this game and our disallowed goals.

Amazing result. Both finishes were top draw. As long as we keep the support up and Emery gets the players he needs, we will thrive.

Jury is still out on what signings and targets though they get.

Up till now they've been Svens who I had the upmost faith in, we have to see who is making those signing decisions in June.

If someone brings in duds, that is not going to help us.

We have won 6 home games in a row
We won 7 at the start of the season
We have won 9 home league games in a row
We won 12 home league games in a row 16/17 West Ham to Huddersfield in Dec 17/18
We have gone 15 home league games without defeat
We went 23 home league games without defeat after losing at home to Aston villa opening day of 13/14 to beating burnley in November 14/15

Tumbled it mate
They mean within the same season not straddling 2
It was 97/98

Nuggets, DG and Zenith bless you guys for presenting a stream on such short notice. You guys made sure I could watch this game in peace. Thank you :1970_two_smileys_drinking_beer_together.gif:

As for your question Nuggets, I'm Turkish but born and raised in the Netherlands. I just went to Turkey to get married in front of my family (:

so the replayh where he elbowed ritcie down x2.. love the toughness..

fwiw, i think footballers should do some upper body training knocking guys arms off , short little blows with forearm, hand jousting type stuff...
also subtle elbows with eedgits grabbing from behind... ya know, "get offa me!"

Hey guys, I'm logging in after a long time just to see if people are concerned with the absolutely shambolic refereeing last night by Anthony Taylor.

I'm convinced he was fixing the game in Newcastle's favour, and that he was our main opponent on the night. Of course, given Newcastle's lack of an attempt to attack didn't help him much.

People at the top need to question the referee. If not his integrity, then definitely his quality and temperament. But no such investigation will take place because the Premier League doesn't allow freedom of speech against referees.

During the first half, the commentators were a bit confused as to why the first goal wasn't given, but in the second one of them actually PRAISED Anthony Taylor for making the WRONG decision, almost as if someone had told them to do so.
Which begs the question - Will VAR truly help if the people at the very top are orchestrating this?

It does not help that the commentators and pundits almost shamelessly try to justify horrendous refereeing decisions and behaviour.

Last night had so many things wrong with it, 2 goals disallowed, a very clear handball (even if unintentional) obstructing play, kolasinac's yellow card for the most peaceful form of dissent I have ever seen and so many other small decisions that really make you wonder the only way this man keeps his job is because he does the bidding of higher powers to fix matches in whatever ways he can.

This is not an angry rant after a loss because in the end we were the better team and we won the game. But this really leaves a bad taste in the mouth as the guys try to keep the Premier League the most exciting league there is.

I read an interesting article about this after the game - https://untold-arsenal.com/archives/40710

Also scary how nobody is talking about this or paying attention to something that has been happening so subtly to affect league positions over the course of the season.
