I really don’t want us to take the patient approach. We’ve got to be at it from the off. If it goes 20-30 minutes without a goal, we’ll start to get bogged down and lose belief, and then there’s always the chance of them sneaking an away goal. We don’t have to worry at all about fitness as we haven’t got another game until the start of April. We have full licence to go 100mph.

If we score in the first 15 minutes, I reckon we’ll steamroller them.

With the Handicap of 2 goals this is a 50/50 i reckon. It's a headache to think whether we should accept that we're likely to concede and go gung-ho for 3 or 4 goals or if we should try a slightly more conservative approach in hopes of a 2-0 win.

Really, Lacazette should not have been allowed to play - it's unfair to Rennes who would have prepared for the game and then 2 days before kick off are told they have to face a player they assumed was suspended. That said - good for us - so great.

What we need is an early goal - that will settle things down very nicely and allow us to be patient for the rest of the game.
If the game drags on at 0-0 I think that's the worst outcome. I even think if they score first, we might steam roller them after that.

Hoping for that now

I'd be suffering from a mysterious injury at around 7pm if I were you. Soldier through until 7.30pm and then leave the workplace with a heavy heart.

it might help if you stubbed your toe in front of witnesses leapt into the air grimacing madly before you even hit the ground then did a WC Neymar roll for 45 seconds...then sat up and rocked yourself like a loon for a couple more minutes
Kai Havertz nutmegged ur GK

Gonna leave work 10mins early to get home for this, honestly if we get through, great, if not ......... I'm more concerned about the open door we have to walk into the top 4.

We're lucky to be in this position in Emery's first season, I don't want them to waste the top 4 opportunity.

Same team as against Man United. Only Cech for Leno and Mustafi for Papa.

Strong bench as well. Mkhi, Iwobi, Suarez, Torreira all ready to come on in the 2nd half and finish them off.

Great team.

Come on gooners, let’s send their surrendering, garlic munching, baguette stuffing, beret wearing backsides back to Frog land.

*I think I’ve covered most of the anti-Francophile stereotypes there.

It's also unfair how an Arsenal player got wrongfully sent off and did not see his suspension scrapped in retrospect.

Conveniently not a word about this matter is uttered.
