Good 1st half performance. Most entertaining we have been in a while. Kept a clean sheet. Solid performances all around.

Positives:
Leno
Lacazette's work rate and intelligent running in the frist half
Crispness of one/two touch incisive passing in the first 45.
Ozil was excellent when he came on
The win - obviously.

It wasn't anything special. In the end neither team wanted to lose.

Man Utd had maybe 10/15mins in the second half when they looked ok but now half of them are on the physios table with injuries.

Klopp looked stressed as fook at the end.

Auba should just develop selfishness and smash the ball when there is a chance begging.

Hopefully this result and improved league position will reduce the Emery hate for a few days at least?

so now we're 4th by 1pt, but chelski can tie if they win by 1 and move ahjead by GD if they can win by 2...

not a bad spot to be in... most important is the crispness seen in the 1st half...

No, he should just develop his finishing skills.
He's going to set a PL record this year for the most big chances missed by any player.
I'd rather not see him smash the ball over the stand whenever he gets it.

Good win, thought it was going to be more of a struggle than it was, so delighted to have done the job fairly comfortably and professionally.

The game could have turned on its head after Leno made that superb save from Redmond, following Mustafi stepping up to play a high line without looking what was around him (which solidifies my view why he is a liability), but we countered with pace, quick movementand clinical precision; something we haven't seen from Arsenal too much recently.

I was a bit frustrated we didn't control the flow of the game more in the second half and kept gifting possession away back to Southampton's players, but I think we did counter attack very well and Lacazette was good in winning fouls to relieve pressure off the defence. We also had the much better chances in the second half, despite Southampton having more of the ball.

Ozil coming on was a good substitution, as he helped us retain possession and move further up the pitch. He played some cutting edge passes, too.

Whilst I was a tad disappointed we didn't add to the two-goal cushion, I was happy to see us creating some very good chances. That was one of my big concerns today because, as I alluded to earlier, we've not created an awful lot recently even when we've won. Thankfully the players stepped up today.

Overall, a good win against a side who habitually cause us lots of problems and a clean sheet.
