Ok performance, a win just a shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet

I know he's everyone's favourite target but Iwobi does bring us something (Ozil is the favourite to hate for 50% of fans) For what it's worth I don't think Ozil was great, nor poor. Maybe get into the rhythm of the game again. Laca is so good, not just as a player, but as a battler.

Torreira again played well, he recycles possession so well. That quick one touch pass when they clear it, ready to get pressure back on, I think is invaluable

I have seen everything now. Anything to shit on Ozil. This board and the Fairweather fans is f***ing intolerable at times.

Our players are confident cuz of the goal, not the sub.

we just went 2-0, why are on about a player who isnt even on the pitch?

Because the dicks on this forum find indirect ways to blame Ozil.. we scored the first goal when Ozil was on. That gave us confidence. But nope, the "last" sub (Ozil off) changed the game apparently..

Ozil played fine. My problem is people bitch and complain about him even when he does his part. We would have scored another one from his direct assist had Iwobi been a somewhat decent finisher. He created one more for Lacazette who bottled it.

Man isn’t wrong.

What encompasses creating a chance seems incredibly loose when we're talking about Ozil.

Yawn.

Angelito wasn't here so I think HotHead felt like he had to do twice the work lol.

I honestly don't even know why you guys bother to bicker about this, it'll be up to Emery in the end of the day.

No amount of b*tching on here is going to change that.

Because most people spend their time trying to slate him.

When you're not bothered you don't usually go on about people who played fine. He was ok, nothing wow but not shit at all.

Putting a ball at someone’s feet that gets them in the box. I wasn’t even watching that close and I saw it twice. I also saw all his tracking back which I keep hearing he doesn’t do.

Looked as useless as Any one else in the first half, did ok overall nothing more.

To be expected given that he hasn't played in over a month.

Ozil could have been better could have been worse, nothing to write home about really, poor game by them all really.

Auba did the same before Laca's goal and no one even mentioned it.
The problem with how Ozil is judged here is that everyone seems to hold him to the same standards as the Elnenys and Iwobis. He's our highest paid player, with the captain's armband and is supposedly our best player. The opposition was Cardiff.

If you aren’t attacking PEA more than Mesut for that game, that’s the problem in a nutshell.

Auba had another shocker tbh but at least he does run all game. I'm glad he scored the pen because his head went down a few times during the game, confidence looks lower after every miss

it was like auba was playing in a charity game

trying to keep the ball in near the end and falling on his arse on the touchline was embarassing loooooool

Auba's job is to score, he is a striker.

If he's scoring goals that's 70% of his responsibility done and dusted.

Different roles means different expectations, he is not a winger or midfielder.

Caught the game in drips and drabs. Iwobi looked positive when he came on. His pass set up the penalty. He should play through the middle more often. Energetic performance.

The team on whole looked much better. Energetic all around and we moved the ball around a lot quicker. Created a lot of chances and should have scored more. Guendouzi looked good, Elneny slotting in between the two CB's to play the ball out from deep seemed to work well too. Hoping Emery sticks to this formation.
