Maitland Niles was one of the few positives from todays result, he worked really hard and made good tackles. Laca had a decent game as well trying to make things happen and making challenges as well. Someone above said Monreal should of come on instead of guendouzi and I agree, it was a strange choice.
I feel we created some decent chances but with no real killer instinct, we were trying to pass the ball into the net, need to be more direct

That was absolute shambles. First of all he should have never taken iwobi off, thats when our whole attack died. Secondly this manager has no clue. and cant read a game. We have bunch of central players who cant beat anyone and he has kids like saka and amaechi in the reserves. Give these wide players achance to have some fecking balance in the team. He is a coward of a manager. I knew he didnt have the balls to take auba off and was gonna take iwobi off.

Worst of all you can see he is a small team manager because his team cant sustain attack in any patterns, his whole thing is set up to counter better teams, well united today told him we will counter you so break us down and he failed miserably.

- Emery wants to play a system for which he doesn't have the right players for. Is that his fault? No. But until he gets those players, he needs to play to the strengths of this team as opposed to trying to fit square pegs in round holes.

- Cech is retiring at the end of the season. You don't owe him anything. Why would not continue to play your first choice GK in Leno? It's not like Cech is threatening to leave if you don't play him?! Stupid selection from Emery.

- The Gendouzi for Kos substitution made NO sense whatsoever. Why would you bring Gendouzi on and move Xhaka in defence when you have Monreal on the bench - a player who has actually played as a decent CB in the past?! Gendouzi was not needed!

- Ozil should have been played in the middle - he is not effective if he is not in the No. 10 role - But Emery's system doesn't have a No. 10 role - everything is basically created through the flanks with nothing through the middle. Mind boggling.

- Emery gets a pass on here from majority of the fans for still not sorting out the defensive issues - it can't ALL be down to the players - the manager should have introduced some sort of marginal improvement in defence even with the same players - let alone the fact that he has brought in a new CB and a new DM.

what lol. A manager is brought in to pick a system that gets the best out of his players. So 100% its his fault. You really think in his job interview he said this is the system I want to play and these players dont suit it....so it wont be my fault? Also if I understand his system right it sucks and he needs to go. Building your attack on your fullbacks is small time nonsense no serious club accept

No idea why Xhaka and Ramsey have vacated the middle and left Torreira on his own. The lack of shape causes defensive confusion.

AMN? One of the worst players on the pitch. Nothing going forward, kept going up field despite us creating nothing down that side and left us exposed down that side for the goals we conceded.

The outlet down the left died when Iwobi came off. Ozil should have come to play through the middle and Lacazette should have stayed in the middle so we could at least try and create overloads from that side and look for openings on the right once it opens up more. Torreira and Xhaka as our only two central players doesn't work. Ramsey might as well have played as a free striker because he hardly played through the middle.

Zero point in playing someone that will bomb forward and not offer anything on attack but also leave you exposed when teams counter. As said in my previous post, everything came down our left side with Kola and Iwobi linking up. We had nothing like that on the opposite side. Auba didn't help on the wing either though. Some terrible passing and not consistent when it comes to beating players with the dribble 1 on 1.
