big guns on the bench

Sokratis had enough game time lately and should have a break. Medley, Mustafi or Koscielny should do the job.
Monreal could also be back for this game.

Wouldn't risk Monreal really, Blackpool are mid table in League 1 we should be abel to rely on youth to get a result. Kos and Mustafi are risks as well imo, Kos shouldn't be playing more than once a week he's basically Ledley King at the minute

Martinez
Jenkinson - Sheaf - Elneny - Medley
Willock - Ramsey - ESR
AMN - Nketiah - Saka

Literally the worst 'alright' team we can out out. fk this fixture.

No doubt we'll see Lacazette starting

I'd go with:

Cech
Jenkinson - Medley - Pleguezuelo - Osei Tutu
Willock - Ramsey - AMN
Ozil - Eddie - Saka

Have a feeling Martinez might get loaned out.
Ozil if not fit move Ramsey further forward and play Gilmour deeper.

With us finishing 6th in the league and not having won either the FA or Europa, its going to get ugly for him.

Bertie mee's arsenal finished 7th in his first season in 66/67
Knocked out the fa cup in the 5 th round at Birmingham
Won the fairs cup in 1970
League and cup double in 70/71

You wonder sometimes if its fate or plain incompetence.

I get a feeling of foreboding about this game.

Mourinho got sacked for losing 3-1 to Liverpool, Emeri loses 5-1 and has no consequences on him.'

Time for the fans to vote with their feet, i cannot watch such a dross team of players anymore.

Outside of the 12/13 penalty defeat at Bradford

Would love to see Medley, Smith Rowe and Saka. Always excited to see young players come through the academy. Maybe even Mavrapanous if he’s fit.

We can't risk a replay, so start Laca/Auba and sub off for Nketiah once we've grabbed a couple of goals. Confident we'll thrash them; excited to see what Seka can bring. Insane to think he was born in 2001.

Starting XI announced:

Cech, Lichtsteiner, Koscielny, Sokratis, Kolasinac, Elneny, Ramsey, Maitland-Niles, Willock, Iwobi, Nketiah

I like the mix of youth and experience. Good to see Maitland-Niles in his preferred position in midfield. Looking forward to seeing what Nketiah and Willock do. Shame Saka didn't get a start though.
