Happy with the line up tbh, we would have got badly overrun with ozil and xhaka in a 4-2-3-1

I think Emery will want Bellerin and Kolasinac to push forward. Both are better attacking then defending. So it kinda makes sense to play with 3 in the backs, when they are our full backs.
Probably Özil isn't 100% fit or he would be starting? Shame about Laca missing too.
If Auba is out of form, we only have Nketiah to come on from the bench.

That said, we're coming off an international break, how much work has been done it? If I'm not mistaken, Emery's never been a proponent of this system in his career as a manger. Maybe it's more about being unhappy with what he has with a back 4? Gonna leave a lot of space open on the flanks...see a high scoring game!

Why is 350k/week on the bench? :dizzy:
Can't be overplayed after the international break.

Glad Emery is experimenting with different systems and picking the team depending on the opposition. I was worried he would never change from 4231.

On the other hand, Iwobi is starting again, so he's obviously partially blind.

Only regarding this seasons form, Mkhi starting is the bigger problem

No Ozil.

Hmmm

Lots of defenders on the pitch, in fact ........... all our defenders.

See how this goes.

The subs may win us this game. If we dont get snowballed from first half. Xhaka, mustafi continuously playing.2 duds. Are most creative players last 5 years not starting what is that about??

Relying on basic crossing football is embarrassing, Now this rubbish. It's really all on our subs.
