Having just read the above comments I'd agree that Miki just looks average for us and is not looking long term. Also, I believe that teams like Leicester believed they could get a result against us and came to play football, as did Watford and Everton, so they all left openings to exploit, which we have done in the second halfs. Once we come up against teams who are not prepared to attack, our players will need to adapt to breaking these teams down.......a totally different challenge.

We had that yesterday somewhat. They scored their flukey goal and collapsed back into their final third completely.

There was a point before the ozil goal where their formation was 523 but compressed within their final third, let alone their half.

Ozils pass through to bellerin who had timed his run perfectly completely took out their whole team.

They turn to goal to stop the movement, they lose sight of our runners.

Ozils first time finish gave them no time to react at all, and rendered schmiechal irrelevant. It's why he couldn't even step towards the ball because it was so far away from him and so quick he couldn't process and react to it.

All 3 goals were of the highest order but that 3rd goal in particular was the pinnacle.

I've watched the goals a million times now between last night and today, and I'm still hype.

Today is the first time in probably over a year I've come in to work and loads of people have come up to me to talk about how great arsenal were yesterday. Different people, talking positively about different players (mainly ozil, laca, torriera, bellerin, iwobi performances).

I've dissected that goal with other opposing supporters sharing the same passion for them I have.

Also been able to give a few Liverpool fans a bit of a light ribbing, but talk with a bit of confidence.

I can't remember the last time I experienced a day like this.

Do that more than the other team you deserve to win

Same I couldn't sleep till really late last night, buzzing that Arsenal are back to being competitive.

Two absolute wonder goals within the last two games as well, Ramsey's Fulham one and now this Ozil master class ........... both team goals as well.

Why, did we lose some of the 3 points in it?

No. It was a shocking performance in the first half which was when my post was made. A great 2nd half doesn't make our first half good.

And we should have conceded a penalty hence the deserve to be 2 down comment.

But we never mention when refs favour us. It's the gw way.

An overall amazing 90 minutes and a 3-1 scoreline with 3 GOAT goals make the game a great one.

Re pens, Yeah we do. It was a nailed on penalty from what I saw and there were plenty of posts confirming that or stating how lucky holding was.

Then again so was lacazettes v Chelsea (?) which wasn't given and only a handful called it.

Ref should have done better but he made up for it by allowing Leicester to keep fouling us on breaks without a whistle or card but apparently that's ok because he f***ked up a pen decision...

Guess that's also a GW trait?

That was the one where Leicester scored once wasn't it
And a penalty is always a goal isn't it?
Wonder if anyone will ever miss one ?

I think the slow starts are intentional, but we are not yet good enough (i.e. safe enough) at playing at slower tempo. And playing a full 90 minutes with high intensity like what we always do in the 2nd half is not a good idea either.

IT should have been a penalty
Under the rules holding should have been sent off ( however I'm old school and this ridiculous baying for sending offs on all sides is anathema to me)
I think it's ludicrous with so many cameras around that we need to operate only on var
If the 4th official is watching a monitor it doesn't need multi looks or angles
The patently obvious should be given
